When Water Is Scarce, Hope Shouldn’t Be.

For nearly six months every year, families in BGM’s project areas (Neyyar Dam, Thiruvananthapuram) struggle to access safe drinking water. With ponds and community wells drying up during summer, the risk of waterborne diseases like cholera and diarrhoea increases—especially among children and the elderly.

To address this critical challenge, BGM Charitable Society is constructing open and individual water wells for poor families. These wells provide more than just water—they bring health, dignity, and long-term security to vulnerable communities.

Each well is a step toward:
✔ Safe and clean drinking water
✔ Prevention of deadly waterborne diseases
✔ Improved health and quality of life
✔ A sustainable solution to water scarcity

We have so far built over 800 wells in the villages around Neyyar Dam, Kerala.

Together, we can ensure that no family has to walk miles for a single pot of water.

💙 Because access to clean water is not a privilege—it’s a basic human right.

At BGM Charity, service is our way of spreading love.

Today, our team provided free meals to patients and their caregivers at PHC, Neyyar Dam, Thiruvananthapuram—a small step to ensure that no one fights illness on an empty stomach.

We will continue this initiative twice every week, bringing comfort, care, and nutritious food to those in need.

A Journey of Service from Neyyar Dam

“When I look back, it feels like just yesterday that we began our journey in the serene valleys of Neyyar Dam — a place known for its beauty, yet home to people struggling for life’s basic needs.”

For over **three decades**, I’ve had the privilege of serving the **tribal and rural communities** of this region. What started as a small effort to build a few drinking wells has now become a mission that has touched thousands of lives.

💧 900+ Wells Built – bringing clean, safe water to families who once walked miles for a pot of water.
🎓 100+ Children Educated – opening doors to a brighter, more hopeful future.
🌿 Ayurvedic Clinic for Tribals – offering traditional healthcare for those with little access to modern facilities.
🍛 Free Food for Poor Patients – twice a week at Neyyar Dam PHC, we serve nutritious meals to patients and their caregivers.
🧵 Women’s Skill Development – through tailoring and eco-friendly greeting card making (using the heart-shaped dried leaves of Sacred Fig ... rural women now earn with dignity and pride.

Every initiative began with a simple belief — that compassion can transform communities.

Today, our team at BGM Charitable Society continues this mission with the same spirit: empowering women, educating children, improving livelihoods, and ensuring no one in our community goes hungry.

I feel deeply grateful for the journey so far — and I know there’s still much to be done.
