Holy Spirit - The Promised Comforter

Holy Spirit - The Promised Comforter Apostle Paul clearly taught that we receive the Holy Spirit (third person of Triune God) the moment we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior.

The filling of Holy Spirit is an ongoing process in the Christian life. Like + Share this page with others. Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again". (John 3:5–7)

When a sinner believes on

the Lord Jesus as the Christ, trusting Him alone to forgive all sins, then the Holy Spirit come into one's heart what it means to be "born again" spiritually. So, a person needs to be born again in order to have their sins forgiven and have a relationship with God. Jesus said; It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper [Holy spirit] will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.(John 16:7-11)

Jesus said; And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate [Holy spirit] to help you and be with you forever-the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. (John 14:16-18)

However, when He [Holy spirit], the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.(John 16:13-15)

Holy Spirit is the seal of salvation for all those who believe & receive Jesus christ as lord & savior. The Holy Spirit is God’s seal on His people, his claim on us as His very own. The receiving/indwelling of the Spirit occurs at the moment of salvation. Holy Spirit is the presence of God that guides us, teaches us, comforts us, rebukes us, reminds us of Scriptures, convicts us, loves us, intercedes in prayer for us, empowers us, heals us, enlightens us etc... So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. (Romans 8:6)

(Romans 8:9)- tells us that if a person does not possess the Holy Spirit & do not produce fruits of Holy spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control), he or she does not belong to Jesus Christ. We know that anyone born of God [Born again] does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. (1 John 5:18-20)

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of his glory.(Ephesians 1:13–14)

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.(Ephesians 4:30-32)

About Spiritual Gifts:
Anyone who confess their sins, trust Jesus christ as lord and savior, baptize fully immersed into water, he/she is able to receive the gifts of the Holy spirit according to the will of God as described in the bible as follows;

The spiritual gifts identified in (Romans 12) are prophesying, serving, teaching, encouraging, giving, leadership, and mercy. The list in (1 Corinthians 12:4-11) includes the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, healing, miraculous powers, prophecy, distinguishing between spirits, speaking in tongues and interpretation of tongues. I ask for forgiveness for my sins and I do acknowledge you as my Lord and Savior. I ask you to baptize me in the Holy Spirit. Thank you Jesus, Amen. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.(Romans 8:14)

🌌 INTRODUCTION

The greatest danger to the church is not:
❌ atheism
❌ liberalism
❌ globalism
❌ islam

But false religion wearing Christian language.

Many preachers today:
⚠️ reject grace

⚠️ preach prosperity
⚠️ glorify self instead of Christ

👉 According to the Apostle Paul, those who pervert the Gospel are: “accursed” (Galatians 1:8-9)

In the Dispensational truth:
✅ salvation is by grace alone
✅ through faith alone
✅ in Christ alone
✅ apart from works
False preachers oppose the finished work of Christ. They reject the message of CROSS is sufficient for salvation. Anything add or replace the message of cross comes from the pits of hell.

✨ INTRODUCTION

👉 Many today are trusting in good works, tradition, religion, church denomination, sacraments, water baptism, holy communion, pilgrimage, charity to be saved. But when we rightly divide the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15), we discover a powerful truth revealed through the gentile appointed Apostle Paul:

👉 Salvation in this present dispensation is not man’s performance—but Christ’s finished work (1 Corinthians 15:1–4).

📌 The cross is not a contribution—it is a completion (John 19:30).

⚠️ JUDAS ISCARIOT: CLOSE TO CHRIST BUT LOST

(Lessons from the Man Who Betrayed the Savior)

📖 John 6:70–71
“Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?”

📖 INTRODUCTION

👉 Judas Iscariot is one of the most tragic characters in the Bible.
He:
• walked with Jesus Christ
• witnessed miracles
• heard divine teaching
• served among the apostles
Yet he was never truly saved.

💥 Judas life proves a powerful truth:
👉 A person can be near Christ but never know Christ personally.
👉 In the dispensation of grace, salvation & eternal life is clearly revealed through the Gospel of Grace: 📖 1 Corinthians 15:1–4

⚡ But Judas lived before the cross and became an example of someone who was religious but lost.

Let us examine seven tragic realities about Judas Iscariot.

1️⃣ CHOSEN BUT UNCHANGED
(Selected as an apostle but never spiritually transformed)
📖 Luke 6:13–16
Explanation:
Judas was chosen to be part of the twelve apostles, yet his heart remained unchanged.

Sub-points:
• Chosen for position
📖 Luke 6:13
• Called to ministry
📖 Matthew 10:1
• Close to the Messiah
📖 John 12:4
• Corrupt in heart
📖 John 12:6

2️⃣ DISCIPLE BUT DEVILISH
(A follower outwardly but wicked inwardly)
📖 John 6:70
Explanation:
Jesus Himself declared that Judas was a devil, showing his true spiritual nature.

Sub-points:
• Devilish character revealed
📖 John 6:70
• Deceptive conduct practiced
📖 Matthew 26:25
• Double-minded loyalty
📖 Psalm 41:9
• Diabolical influence accepted
📖 Luke 22:3

3️⃣ ASSOCIATED BUT UNREGENERATED
(Connected to Christ but never born again)
📖 John 13:10–11
Explanation:
Judas was among believers but never spiritually cleansed.

Sub-points:
• Associated with disciples
📖 Acts 1:17
• Attended the ministry of Jesus
📖 Matthew 26:20
• Accepted among the twelve
📖 John 13:21
• Absent of true salvation
📖 John 13:11

4️⃣ REMORSEFUL BUT NOT REPENTANT
(Felt guilt but never experienced true repentance)
📖 Matthew 27:3–5
Explanation:
Judas felt regret, but his sorrow was not genuine repentance.

Sub-points:
• Regret over sin
📖 Matthew 27:3
• Returned the silver
📖 Matthew 27:5
• Realized his betrayal
📖 Matthew 27:4
• Rejected God's mercy
📖 Matthew 27:5

5️⃣ USED BUT UNSAVED
(God used him in prophecy but he was not redeemed)
📖 John 17:12
Explanation:
Judas fulfilled prophecy but remained lost.

Sub-points:
• Used in God's sovereign plan
📖 Acts 1:16
• Unfaithful in stewardship
📖 John 12:6
• Unbelieving in heart
📖 John 6:64
• Unredeemed in soul
📖 John 17:12

6️⃣ SEDUCED BY SATAN
(Influenced and controlled by the enemy)
📖 Luke 22:3
Explanation:
Satan entered Judas because his heart was open to evil. "The love of money is the root of all evil" (1 Timothy 6:10) highlights that excessive desire or greed for wealth—not money itself—causes corruption, moral compromise, and harm to others. It acts as a warning against putting wealth above virtue, relationships, or ethics, which can lead to destructive behaviors and inner emptiness.

Sub-points:
• Satanic temptation
📖 John 13:2
• Spiritual surrender to evil
📖 Luke 22:3
• Sinful greed
📖 Matthew 26:15
• Selfish betrayal
📖 Luke 22:48

7️⃣ SENTENCED TO DESTRUCTION
(His destiny was eternal loss)
📖 Acts 1:25
Explanation:
Scripture teaches Judas went to his own place of judgment.

Sub-points:
• Son of perdition
📖 John 17:12
• Self-inflicted death
📖 Matthew 27:5
• Scripture fulfilled
📖 Acts 1:16
• Separated forever from Christ
📖 Acts 1:25

🏁 CONCLUSION

👉 Judas Iscariot is a sobering warning to us.
He proves that a person can:
• attend religious gatherings
• serve in ministry
• appear spiritual
Yet still be lost without true faith.

The tragedy of Judas teaches:
👉 proximity to Christ is not the same as faith in Christ.
Salvation today is clearly revealed through the Gospel of Grace.
📖 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.

📣 CALL TO ACTION

Ask yourself honestly:
• Are you near religion/church but far from Christ?
• Have you truly believed the Gospel of Grace?
• Are you trusting Christ alone for salvation?

👉 Do not follow Judas' path.
👉 Believe the Gospel today.
👉 Trust the risen Savior.

💡 FINAL THOUGHTS

1️⃣ You can be close to Christ but still lost
2️⃣ Religion cannot replace true salvation
3️⃣ Regret is not the same as repentance
4️⃣ Satan seeks hearts open to sin.
5️⃣ Don't sell your soul to satan.
6️⃣ Satan can enter through the love of money.
7️⃣ Excessive desire or greed for wealth causes corruption, moral compromise, and harm to others.
8️⃣ Only faith in Christ brings eternal life ✝️

🎺 WHEN THE TRUMP OF GOD SOUNDS

🔰 INTRODUCTION

🔥 The Trumpet in this passage is not Israel’s feast trumpets, not a judgment trumpet, and not Revelation’s trumpet.
👉 It is “the trump of God”—a unique call for the Body of Christ (church) alone.

This event belongs to the Dispensation of Grace, revealed to apostle Paul by revelation (1 Cor. 15:51). When it sounds, everything changes in a moment.

🔤 5 PREACHING POINTS (T-R-U-M-P)

1️⃣ T — TRUMPET SUMMONS THE BODY
The trumpet is a calling sound, not a warning. Only the body of Christ (church) hears the calling sound.

Trumpet of God – A divine summons, not angelic. (1 Thess. 4:16)
Timing Sudden – In a moment of twinkling eye, without advance signs. (1 Cor. 15:52)
Targeted Specifically – The Body of Christ (church). (Eph. 1:22–23)
Truth Revealed – A mystery once hidden. (1 Cor. 15:51)
Transition Triggered – From earth to glory. (Phil. 3:20)
➡️ This Trumpet is for believers in Christ only.

2️⃣ R — RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD IN CHRIST
Physical death does not stop God’s promise.

Raised First – Dead in Christ rise before the living believers. (1 Thess. 4:16)
Redeemed Bodies – Incorruptible and glorified body like resurrected Jesus. (1 Cor. 15:42–44)
Resurrection Certain – Guaranteed by Christ’s resurrection. (1 Cor. 15:20)
Rest Concluded – Sleep in Christ ends. (1 Thess. 4:14)
Reunion Assured – United again with loved ones. (1 Thess. 4:17)
➡️ The grave loses its victory. No more death, pain, sickness or sorrows.

3️⃣ U — UPWARD CATCHING AWAY
The word Rapture means caught up supernaturally by God before the wrath of God falls on earth (7 year tribulation).

Upward Motion – Caught up, not called down (1 Thess. 4:17)
Unexpected Moment – Like a thief (1 Thess. 5:2)
Unified Movement – All believers in the world together (1 Cor. 15:51)
Unchanged Identity – Still ourselves, but glorified body (Phil. 3:21)
Unending Hope – Blessed hope for church fulfilled (Titus 2:13)
➡️ Grace ends with glory, not wrath.

4️⃣ M — MEETING THE LORD IN THE AIR
Only the body of Christ meets Jesus in the air. Every eye sees Jesus is the glorious Second Coming of Christ, not Rapture. Both returns of Jesus are separate events.

Meeting Mid-Air – Not on the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem (1 Thess. 4:17)
Mediator Welcomed – Jesus Himself receives us (John 14:3)
Manifestation of Sons – Revealed with Christ (Col. 3:4)
Marvelous Communion – Face-to-face fellowship (1 John 3:2)
➡️ We meet Him before judgment falls on earth.

5️⃣ P — PARADISE WITH CHRIST FOREVER

✨ RAPTURED OR LEFT BEHIND?

Faith Alone or Faith + Works?
📖 “We shall be caught up… to meet the Lord in the air.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:17 (KJV)

📖 INTRODUCTION

The Bible reveals two distinct programs:
🔥 The Mystery Program — the Body of Christ (church) revealed through the apostle Paul, Salvation of gentiles, Rapture of church, Judgement seat of Christ, Crowns & rewards in heaven.
💥 The Prophetic Program — Israel, 7 year Tribulation, Glorious second coming of Christ on Mount Olives Jerusalem, Millennium Kingdom of Christ, White throne Judgement for unbelievers, New heaven and new earth in New Jerusalem.

Confusion comes when people mix these programs.
📖 “God hath not appointed us to wrath.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:9
➡️ The question is not if Christ is coming
➡️ The question is who will be caught up in heaven and who will be left behind on earth

🔤 EIGHT TRUTHS: RAPTURED VS. LEFT BEHIND

Explanation:
After the Rapture, the left behind world face satanic Antichrist (like Hi**er) and enters prophetic Judgment.

Near-Constant fear of living. (Luke 21:26)

6️⃣ PERIL OF THE MARK

🌍✨ GOD’S PLAN FOR THE EARTH VS. HEAVEN

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 📖 Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

Rightly Dividing the Prophetic Program and the Mystery Program
📖 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)

📖 INTRODUCTION

The Bible reveals one God with two distinct programs, not two plans of salvation, but two spheres of purpose:
🌍 Earthly Kingdom → Promised, prophesied, and prepared for Israel.
🌠 Heavenly Calling → Hidden, revealed, and fulfilled in the Body of Christ (church).

Failure to rightly divide leads to confusion, contradiction, and misplaced hope.
📖 “Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.” — Acts 15:18

🔤 EIGHT TRUTHS OF GOD’S TWO-FOLD PLAN

1️⃣ DISTINCTION OF DOMAINS
(Earthly Realm vs. Heavenly Realm)
📖 “In my Father’s house are many mansions…” — John 14:2
Explanation:
God designed two realms, each with a distinct people and purpose.

Sub-points:
Designed Earth for Israel’s kingdom (Psalm 37:29)
Designated Heaven for the church (Body of Christ) (Philippians 3:20)
Distinguished Callings (Romans 11:29)
Declared Purposes (Ephesians 1:10)

2️⃣ PROMISES PROCLAIMED
(Prophetic vs. Mystery Promises)
📖 “Which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets…” — Acts 3:21
Explanation:
Israel’s program was spoken since the world began; the Church’s program was kept secret.

Sub-points:
Prophesied Kingdom to Israel (Luke 1:70)
Promised Land on earth (Genesis 12:7)
Previously Hidden Mystery (Romans 16:25)
Pauline Revelation of heavenly blessings (Eph. 3:3–6)

3️⃣ CITIZENSHIP CONTRASTED
(Earthly Nation vs. Heavenly Body)
📖 “For our conversation is in heaven…” — Philippians 3:20
Explanation:
God has two distinct peoples, never merged or replaced.

Sub-points:
Chosen Nation Israel (Deut. 7:6)
Called-out Body the Church (1 Cor. 12:27)
Covenant People on earth (Jer. 31:35–36)
Corporate Body in Christ (Eph. 1:22–23)

4️⃣ THRONES CONTRASTED
(Davidic Throne vs. Heavenly Exaltation)
📖 “He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever…” — Luke 1:33
Explanation:
Christ rules on earth as King of Kings and in heaven as Head of the Church.

Sub-points:
Throne of David in Jerusalem (Isa. 9:7)
Triumphant Return to earth (Zech. 14:4)
Headship in Heaven (Col. 1:18)
Heavenly Seating of the Church (Eph. 2:6)

5️⃣ HOPE HIGHLIGHTED
(Hope of Israel vs. Hope of the Church)
📖 “And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise…” — Acts 26:6
Explanation:
Hope must match the calling—or confusion follows.

Sub-points:
Hope of the Land (Jer. 23:5–6)
Hope of Restoration (Acts 3:19–21)
Hope in Heaven (Col. 1:5)
Hope of Glory (Titus 2:13)

6️⃣ REVELATION RIGHTLY DIVIDED
(Spoken Since vs. Secret Since)
📖 “Which in other ages was not made known…” — Ephesians 3:5
Explanation:
What God revealed before differs from what He revealed through apostle Paul. It is hidden before Paul. Jesus did not reveal the Salvation of gentiles (non-Jews), Mystery of body of Christ & Rapture during his earthly ministry.

Sub-points:
Revealed to Prophets (Amos 3:7)
Reserved Mystery (Eph. 3:9)
Recorded in Scripture (Rom. 16:26)
Rightly Divided Truth (2 Tim. 2:15)

7️⃣ DESTINY DETERMINED
(Earth Renewed vs. Heaven Filled)
📖 “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men…” — Revelation 21:3
Explanation:
God restores both realms, but assigns them to different peoples.

Sub-points:
Renewed Earth for Israel (Isa. 65:17)
Reigning Messiah on earth (Rev. 20:6)
Raptured Body to heaven (1 Thess. 4:16–17)
Ruling in Heavenly Places (Eph. 2:7)

8️⃣ GLORY GOD-CENTERED
(One God, Two Programs, One Purpose)
📖 “To the intent that now unto the principalities… might be known…” — Ephesians 3:10
Explanation:
God’s ultimate aim is His glory, displayed in heaven and earth.

Sub-points:
Glorified Son (Col. 1:18)
Gathered All Things (Eph. 1:10)
Government Manifested (Rev. 11:15)
Grace Magnified (Eph. 2:7)

🧾 CONCLUSION

God is not confused—and His Word is not contradictory.
Confusion only comes when Israel’s promises are stolen and the Church’s calling is diluted.
📖 “Hath God cast away his people? God forbid.” — Romans 11:1
➡️ One Bible
➡️ One Savior
