AIBOC Keralam has strongly protested the mob attack on bank officials who were deputed as independent witnesses during the ED proceedings in Thiruvananthapuram.

While condemning the violent attack by the mob in unequivocal terms, the organisation has also expressed serious concern over the complete failure of the State administration and law enforcement machinery in ensuring the safety and security of innocent bank employees who were discharging official duties.

AIBOC Keralam stands firmly with the affected officers and has demanded accountability and adequate protection for bank employees deputed for such sensitive assignments.

SBIOA KC UNIT MEETING
LHO Thiruvananthapuram
Date : 24 March 2026
Venue : Canteen Hall LHO

A Unit Meeting of the members attached to LHO was held on 24.03.2026 at 5:45 PM at the Canteen Hall, LHO, to deliberate on the issues arising from the implementation of the new PLI Scheme.
Com.VP Shaji, DGS, Thiruvananthapuram Module, welcomed the gathering and briefly explained the purpose of convening the meeting.

Com. Biju T, President, in his address, emphasized the need for unity and collective strength among officers to safeguard service conditions and organisational dignity.

Com. Rajesh S, General Secretary, elaborated in detail on the PLI structure, its background and the developments since 2024 when the scheme was first proposed. He explained the sequence of events, the concerns raised by the Association, and the continuous efforts taken by SBIOA and UFBU to stall the unilateral implementation of the scheme.

He also explained why the Association and UFBU were compelled to take strong and decisive protest actions, highlighting that the matter was already under negotiation under the mediatorship of the Chief Labour Commissioner (CLC). Despite this, the Department of Financial Services (DFS) proceeded with the implementation, disregarding the ongoing conciliation process and the objections raised by officers’ organisations.

The address was followed by an interactive session, where several members raised doubts and concerns regarding the PLI scheme and the methods of protest adopted by the Association. All the concerns raised by the members were clarified and addressed by the General Secretary and the President, ensuring that members gained a clear understanding of the issue and the organisational stand.

The meeting concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Com. Rajeev Kumar, AGS, Thiruvananthapuram Module.
