LINKERS MEET | Pookalam

Just like a Pookalam, where every flower adds its own color and beauty, Linkers Meet brought together members from H&R Block Toastmasters, Toastmasters Travelogue, RRD Toastmasters Club, and SADA India Toastmasters to create a vibrant celebration of learning, leadership, and fellowship.

Showing up matters. But today, we did more than just show up, we made our presence felt!

The event was packed with engaging prepared speeches, insightful evaluations, a thought-provoking educational session, an energetic JAM session, and countless opportunities to learn from one another.

We brought home several certificates, shared our learning culture, and left our mark on the stage. More importantly, we built new connections, exchanged ideas, and celebrated the spirit of Toastmasters together.

A heartfelt thank you to every participant who contributed to the success of the event, and special appreciation to all the clubs that joined hands to make this gathering possible.

Proud moment for H&R Block Toastmasters!!

Our member TM Manoj, recently represented our club at the LINKERS MEET which happened at IBS Campus and delivered an educational session on the evaluation practices that make our club special.

At H&R Block Toastmasters we do not treat evaluation as a two minute formality. We follow a deliberate system built across three stages - PRE, DURING and POST.

PRE
The Benchmark Rule: you speak before you evaluate
The Mentor Connect: every new member gets a dedicated mentor
The Pre-Meeting Connect: evaluator connects with speaker a day before

DURING
Active listening with complete attention
Genuine empathy and engagement
Precise note taking using the mantra: What I saw. What I heard. What I felt.

POST
Handwritten evaluation sheet given to every speaker after the meeting
Post-meeting clarification; a personal conversation to deepen the feedback
This system has helped many of our members grow into confident speakers; from their very first Ice Breaker speech to presenting on some of the biggest stages in their careers.

We are proud of Manoj for sharing our club's story with the Toastmasters community at this wonderful inter-club event.
