ദുരിതകാലത്ത് ആശ്വാസമായി 'കാർഡ്'.
4345 ദുരിത ബാധിത കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്ക് നേരിട്ടുള്ള സഹായ പ്രവർത്തങ്ങൾ.
ഓർക്കാപ്പുറത്തെത്തിയ വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം പത്തനംതിട്ട, ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലകളെ തീർത്തും ദുരിതത്തിലാഴ്ത്തിയപ്പോൾ, ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് താങ്ങും തണലുമായി മാർത്തോമാ സഭയുടെ സാമൂഹ്യസേവന വിഭാഗമായ 'കാർഡ്' വിവിധ കാരുണ്യ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളുമായി മുന്നിട്ടിറങ്ങി.
പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലയിലെ മേപ്രാൽ, തിരുവല്ല വേങ്ങൽ , കവിയൂർ, കറ്റോട്, വല്ലന, അയിരൂർ, കിടങ്ങന്നൂർ, ആറന്മുള, റാന്നി, കൊക്കാത്തോട്,ഓതറ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും, ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലയിലെ പാണ്ടനാട്, നാക്കട, മുട്ടാർ, മിത്രക്കരി, കുട്ടനാട് മേഖലയിലെ മുട്ടാറിലെ ഉൾപ്രദേശങ്ങൾ, മാമ്പുഴക്കരി, കിടങ്ങറ,വെളിയനാട് , തഴക്കര പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ വെട്ടിയാർ, ചെട്ടികുളങ്ങര, ആനപ്പറമ്പാൽ, നക്ര എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ പച്ചക്കറികൾ, അത്യാവശ്യ ഭക്ഷ്യധാന്യ കിറ്റുകൾ, ഡ്രൈ റേഷൻ കിറ്റ് , പുതപ്പുകൾ, ശുചിത്വ കിറ്റുകൾ എന്നിവ വിതരണം ചെയ്ത് 4345 ദുരിത ബാധിത കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്ക് സഹായകരമായത് .
കൊമ്പാടി മാർത്തോമ്മാ സന്നദ്ധ സുവിശേഷ സംഘം ഹാളിലാണ് കിറ്റുകൾ പാക്ക് ചെയ്തത്. യുവജനസഖ്യം അംഗങ്ങൾ, പത്തനംതിട്ട കൃഷി വിജ്ഞാനകേന്ദ്രം ,കൊട്ടാരക്കര സുരക്ഷാ പ്രോജക്ട് എന്നിയവിടങ്ങളിലെ സ്റ്റാഫുകൾ , തിരുവല്ല എസ്.സി.എസ്. ഹയർ സെക്കൻഡറി സ്കൂൾ എൻ.എസ്.എസ്. വോളണ്ടിയേർസ് , കാർഡ് തിരുവല്ലാ ഓഫീസ് പ്രവർത്തകർ എന്നിവരടങ്ങുന്ന ടീമാണ് കിറ്റ് പാക്കിംഗിന് നേതൃത്വം നൽകിയത്. കാർഡിൻ്റെ ദുരിതാശ്വാസ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്ക് ആവേശവും പിന്തുണയും പകർന്ന് കാർഡ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഡോ. യുയാക്കിം മാർ കൂറിലോസ് സഫ്രഗൻ മെത്രാപ്പോലീത്ത, മാർത്തോമ്മാ സഭ കൊട്ടാരക്കര-പുനലൂർ ഭദ്രാസന അദ്ധ്യക്ഷൻ ഡോ. തോമസ് മാർ തീത്തോസ് എപ്പിസ്കോപ്പ എന്നിവരുടെ പാക്കിംഗ് സെൻ്ററിലെ സന്ദർശനം പ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് ആവേശം പകർന്നു.
കറ്റോട് ബഥേൽ മാർത്തോമ്മാ,മുട്ടാർ ക്രിസ്റ്റോസ് മാർത്തോമ്മ ഇടവക, ആനപ്പറമ്പാൽ മാർത്തോമ്മാ ഗേൾസ് ഹൈസ്കൂൾ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ പ്രളയബാധിതരായ കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്കും കുട്ടികൾക്കുമുള്ള ഡ്രൈ റേഷൻ കിറ്റുകളുടെ വിതരണം കാർഡ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഡോ. യുയാക്കിം മാർ കൂറിലോസ് സഫ്രഗൻ മെത്രാപ്പോലീത്ത നിർവ്വഹിച്ചു. ചെട്ടികുളങ്ങര, ആഞ്ഞിലിപ്ര തുടങ്ങിയ ദുരിതാശ്വാസ ക്യാമ്പുകളിൽ കഴിയുന്നവർക്ക് പുതപ്പുകളും ശുചിത്വ കിറ്റുകളും വിതരണം ചെയ്തു.
ദുരിതാശ്വാസ പ്രവർത്തങ്ങൾക്ക് കാർഡിന് പിന്തുണയും സഹായവും നൽകിയ മാർത്തോമ്മാ സഭ, പ്രാദേശിക ഇടവകകൾ, വികാരി അച്ചൻമാർ, പ്രാദേശിക ഭരണകൂടം, ജനപ്രതിനിധികൾ , രാഷ്ട്രീയ നേതാക്കൾ,സന്നദ്ധ പ്രവർത്തകർ എന്നിവർക്ക് കാർഡ് ഡയറക്ടർ റവ.ഷിബു സാമുവൽ നന്ദി അറിയിച്ചു.
CARD Brings Relief in Times of Crisis
Direct Relief Assistance to 4,345 Flood-Affected Families
When unexpected floods plunged the districts of Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha into severe distress, CARD, the social service wing of the Mar Thoma Church, stepped forward with a range of humanitarian initiatives, extending timely relief and support to affected families and communities.
Relief assistance was provided across several locations in Pathanamthitta district, including Mepral, Thiruvalla, Vengal, Kaviyoor, Kattood, Vallana, Ayiroor, Kidangannur, Aranmula, Ranni, Kokkathode and Othara. In Alappuzha district, assistance reached Pandanad, Nakkada, Muttar, Mithrakary, the interior areas of Muttar in the Kuttanad region, Mampuzhakary, Kidangara, Veliyanad, Vettiyar in Thazhakkara Grama Panchayat, Chettikulangara, Aanaparambal and Nakra.
Vegetables, essential food-grain kits, dry-ration kits, blankets and hygiene kits were distributed, directly benefiting 4,345 flood-affected families.
The relief kits were packed at the Kombadi Mar Thoma Voluntary Evangelistic Association Hall. Members of the Yuvajana Sakhyam, staff from the Pathanamthitta Krishi Vigyan Kendra and Kottarakkara Suraksha Project, NSS volunteers from Thiruvalla S.C.S. Higher Secondary School, and CARD staff from the Thiruvalla Central Office worked together in the packing and preparation of the relief materials.
The visit of Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos Suffragan Metropolitan, President of CARD, and Dr. Thomas Mar Theethos Episcopa, Bishop of the Kottarakara–Punalur Diocese of the Mar Thoma Church, to the packing centre encouraged and motivated the volunteers and strengthened the relief efforts.
The distribution of dry-ration kits to flood-affected families and children at Bethel Mar Thoma Church, Kattood; Christos Mar Thoma Church, Muttar; and Aanaparambal Mar Thoma Girls High School was led by CARD President Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos Suffragan Metropolitan. Blankets and hygiene kits were also distributed to people staying in relief camps at Chettikulangara, Anjilipra and other affected locations.
CARD Director Rev. Shibu Samuel expressed his sincere gratitude to the Mar Thoma Church, local parishes, vicars, local administration, elected representatives, political leaders and volunteers for their valuable support and cooperation in carrying out the relief operations.
