Across India, data reveals persistent inequalities limiting the progress of the girl child. Nearly one in three girls aged 15 to 24 remains outside formal education, skill training, or employment. Early marriage, poor health infrastructure, and restricted access to digital tools continue to hold back the potential of millions.

AkshayaShakti Welfare Association addresses these structural barriers through strategic interventions in education, healthcare, and livelihood development. Its initiatives strengthen foundational learning, improve community health awareness, and create platforms that equip adolescent girls with employable skills.

On International Day of the Girl Child, the organisation highlights the critical need for systemic change that supports access, agency, and advancement for every girl in Bharat.

AVEVA Action for Goodness received AkshayaRatna 2025.

Team AkshayaShakti visited AVEVA office at Powai, Mumbai on 09-09-2025 and expressed their gratitude for supporting AkshayaDhaaga mission by presenting AkshayaRatna Award 2025. AVEVA Action for Goodness Team had supported AkshayaShakti to skill 75 women through AkshayaDhaaga tailoring course in two skills centres - Shivner Vidya Mandir, SakiNaka and Abhinav Education Society, Borivali East, Mumbai.

Team AkshayaShakti led by Mr. Jayakumar (Secretary), Dr. Narayan Iyer (CEO), Mrs. Kiran Badhe (Project Director), Mrs. Neeta Patil (Program Manager), Mrs. Padma Surekha (AD Teacher), Mrs. Priyanka (Trainee) and Mrs. Sanju (Trainee) - presented the AkshayaRatna Award to the AVEVA Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and later acknowledged the support extended by Team AVEVA in the goodness journey creating a social impact in several lives.

AVEVA ELT congratulated Team AkshayaShakti for the wonderful social mission carried out to nurture women towards the path of skills and self-reliance.

Team AkshayaShakti organized a hands-on session of making soft-toys for Team AVEVA. The engaging session which was welcomed and much appreciated by ELT and everyone in AVEVA. The visiting team from AkshayaDhaaga expressed their happiness as they got a wonderful exposure of showcasing their skills and exchanging thoughts with the corporate leaders.
