"Fandry Foundation" - A Medium of Bridging the gap between the Needy and the Blessed ones. An inspiration from the Marathi movie “Fandry” written & directed by Nagraj Manjule Sir. Fandry was onboard from 25th May 2014 through an appeal on various social media platforms to donate usable clothes & educational material to needy tribal people & less fortunate students. The appeal of donation not only

recieved huge response but also was bolstered by the joining of many young faces who had the desire of working for this noble cause. Fandry targets to create awareness about the education and using local resources amongst Tribal people for their betterment. Fandry also concentrate on helping underprivileged elements of society such as orphans, HIV infected kids, Old people. In a short span of one year, Fandry Foundation has established teams in three different regions of Maharashtra which include more than 200 dedicated youth volunteers. Fandry Foundation is built upon the dedication, hard work and passion of such volunteers to work for the society. Fandry Foundation Teams :

1) Mumbai - Mumbai team is currently working for the Tribal regions of Dahanu, Mokhada & Igatpuri in Nashik District. We visit there at regular intervals and are connected to them through Local teachers. We have provided stationery to the children during the start of this educational year & to help the people settle down financially, we are making use of geographical conditions of the region. Last year In Dahanu we tried Organic farming on an experimental basis which was very successful. Consequently, we are now planning to cover a larger area this year. Our second functional area Igatpuri is known for it’s scenic beauty & trekking spots. We plan to make use of the same & are trying to develop the region by suggesting businesses which the local people can undertake in order to become financially stable.
2) Ratnagiri - Ratnagiri Team is working for tribal areas in the Chiplun & Sangmeshwar region in coordination with Local college & orphanage in Sangmeshwar.

3) Kolhapur - Kolhapur team works for underprivileged remote locations of Kolhapur district also helping an orphanage & institute of HIV infected kids

Even though the financial situation is modest, the determination to get an education should not fall short; with this vision, 'Fandry Foundation' has been continuously working since 2014. This year as well, on behalf of the foundation, schools in the tribal hamlets of Trimbakeshwar-Wada-Mokhada region were visited in person, and free educational materials were distributed to needy students.

Along with this, meritorious students from classes 8th, 9th, and 10th were specially felicitated to encourage them.

The joy that appeared on the children's faces the moment they received the educational materials was truly priceless! While honoring the bright students, the volunteers also interacted with teachers and parents to understand their challenges.

World Book Day and Education for Underprivileged

World Book Day celebrates the power of books to inspire, educate, and change lives, but for millions of underprivileged children, access to books remains a luxury. Promoting reading and education among these children is crucial to break the cycle of poverty and open doors to opportunity. By gifting books and building libraries in schools like EMRS, we give every child the chance to dream, learn, and achieve.
