Project 14 – Book Distribution at Pankhanda School No. 51
Date 1st August 2026

It was a truly heartwarming day for IWCHE.
We visited Pankhanda School No. 51 and distributed 104 notebooks to our young learners who need them the most. 📚

Seeing those bright smiles as each child received a notebook reminded us why we do this work.
“A notebook in a child’s hand is the first page of their dreams.”
“When we gift a book, we gift a child the power to write their own future.” 🌱✨

This act of giving is more than stationery — it’s encouragement, hope, and the joy of learning.

Project 13 Inauguration of Balwadi
Date 1st August 2026
A wonderful beginning to the month of August! 💙✨

IWCHE is delighted to have started August month with a very meaningful service project.

We were privileged to collaborate with RCHE for the inauguration of the Balwadi Section at Pankhanda School.
Along with Inner wheel members ,the inaugaration was attended by Assistant Governor of Rotary Rtn.Apoorva Vaidya , RCHE president Rtn.Anil Gidwani , RCHE Club Secretary Rtn.Anil Raichur ,Rtn.Krishna Saraf and other Rotarians .
As a part of this initiative, RCHE has undertaken the responsibility of sponsoring the Balwadi teachers monthly salary and providing a healthy daily brunch for the children throught the year and as Partners in Service, IWCHE donated educational toys, games, mats, and soft toys to create a joyful and stimulating learning environment for the little ones.

Project 12
𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗶 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻
17th July 2026
𝗩𝗮𝗿𝗶 is an annual Yatra to Pandharpur, Maharashtra. The tradition of walking on foot carrying the paduka of a saint in a palkhi, most notably of Dnyaneshwar and Tukaram, to Pandharpur has been going on since 700-800 years.
Understanding the plight of the pilgrims,who walk for days together from their respective places, 𝐈𝐖𝐂𝐇𝐄 supported a Medical Check-upCamp conducted by 𝐈𝐖𝐂 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐞 and 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐞.
ORS was provided to pilgrims to keep their body hydrated and to maintain the electrolytes level, lost due to excessive heat and exhaustion.
𝐈𝐖𝐂𝐇𝐄 is very happy to support this powerful act of kindness and human compassion. Thank you everyone who contributed to this project.🙏🙏

On the 27th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas let's salute soldiers who laid down their lives in 1999 and also those who fought and continue to serve the Nation today.

Today, on Kargil Vijay Diwas, we pay homage to 527 brothers who chose 'Death before Dishonour'. On 26th July 1999, we wrote history with our blood on the mountains of Kargil for Naam, Namak, Nishan.
We celebrate the victory of good over evil.

Project 11
🌿🌾Seed Distribution Project at Khalapur
15th July 2026

Women play a crucial yet often underappreciated role as provider for the family To take this forward IWCHE along with IWC Thane West and IWC Mumbai Mulund East under the guidance of Pahel Nurturing lives , distributed seeds to the women farmers at Khalapur.

Around 100 farmers, mostly women were given seeds to promote kitchen gardening, With right guidance these women have successfully cultivated the veggies. With this small scale farming the women gain financial independence by selling surplus produce apart from using the veggies for their household too.

They happily showed us their planting spaces. We also planted a few trees near their homes to add to their existing yields.
