The plight of elephants is not known to our society. Everyday elephants are ill-treated, tortured and killed, without realizing how crucial their existence is for us. Our aim is to have a sustainable future for elephants and a harmonious coexistence for wildlife and human communities. Anand Shinde, one of the founders is known for his unique ability to communicate with elephants and came to be lov

ing known as the “Elephant Whisperer”. Over the last three years, he developed this ability by observing the elephant ears, eyes, trunk explorations, hearing their rumbling sounds and guessing the leg stamping of elephants. Through his extensive work in Kerela and interaction with the forest department and various authorities, we realised the urgency for creating awareness on elephant behaviour and patterns. This is how the journey of Trunk Call began.
