Established in 2014, Making the Difference (MTD) is an Indian non-profit organization founded by Mr. Deepak Vishwakarma, with the aim and determination to bring a difference in the life of the needy especially, underprivileged children. Today, the NGO is working keeping in mind the mission of improving the quality of life for disadvantaged individuals through nutrition, health care, and education.

At MTD, our focus is to fabricate self-sufficient healthy communities and to offer to them equal opportunities to help families and individuals to be empowered in a way that allows them to flourish, prosper and realize their potential and achieve their dreams. Our dream is to make India a hub for child education where the focus is on the realization of the child’s potential. Simultaneously we trying to eradicate evil practices like child labor, child marriage, etc from our society. We are selflessly working on this mission to achieve our goals as we are confident that with hard work and consistent efforts in the right direction, success will not be a far-fetched dream. Every single day, 550 metric tonnes of waste is collected in Mira Bhayandar.
Most of it? Unsegregated.
The result? Growing garbage mountains in our dumping grounds.

But now, change has begun—with a powerful initiative led by

👉 And CSR support from GIC-Re

Together, they’ve launched a mission for 100% at-source waste segregation in Wards 10, 11, and 12—connecting 40,000 households to the vision of a cleaner, greener city.

🚮 Installed 30 twin dustbins at red spots across Mira Road
🏠 Distributing 2,500 household twin bins
🌱 25 compost tumblers in societies to turn waste into garden-ready compost
🚛 Introduced electric tempo for cloth & utility item collection
♻️ Collected 4,900 kg of reusable items in just 4 months!

✨ A step towards strengthening healthcare, together.

With the support of our CSR partner PPFAS Mutual Fund, Making The Difference NGO successfully upgraded the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Vangani on 17th April, 2026 by donating 60+ essential medical equipments.

This initiative will benefit around 80–100 patients daily, ensuring better diagnosis, improved treatment, and enhanced healthcare services for the community. 💙

This is more than just infrastructure — it is improved care for patients, support for healthcare workers, and a step towards a healthier tomorrow. 🏥✨
