International Women's Day Celebrations
Rotary Club of Thane Northend Felicitated women on the Occasion of International Women’s Day at Rotary Club meeting on 6th March26 at Thane.
President Dr. Sanjivkumar Dhamanse , Secretary Avinash Patwardhan, Treasurer Raj Sharma , Chairman A. Ravindran , PE Kiran Zende , VP Mangesh Akerkar , IPP Suresh Srinivasan, PP Ramesh Pallavoor, PP Dilip Madiwale n Rotarians their spouses were present . Below mewntioned women were the celebraties for the day and got felicitated.
Meenal Zende remains actively involved in community service and initiatives that encourage women’s growth and empowerment. She is associated with Aamhi Udyogini Pratishthan, where she participates in initiatives that encourage and support women entrepreneurs through guidance, networking, and sharing of experiences.
She is also connected with Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal, contributing to community-oriented efforts and participating in programs that create awareness among young girls about menstrual hygiene, skin care, and other important aspects of health and well-being. She is currently working towards setting up a sanitary napkin manufacturing initiative with self-help groups in the tribal regions of Shahapur to support livelihood and health awareness.
Mrs Sonali Parab - she has previously worked for 7 years in an NGO called 'Prerna' protecting women against sexual harrasment / exploitation in corporates, victimization of children.Currently she works at Arpan as theSenior Manager – Government Partnerships to work in collaboration with government departments to create public awareness and institutionalize the rights of underprivileged kids.
Madhuri metange is a teacher at Mulund Vidya Mandir, she runs NGO Lakshbhedi samajic sanstha. She is also a member of Navsanjeevan Adivasi Sanstha. she works in women empowerment, she arrange camp for childrens, teaches self defence for girls, work in area of environment.
Jetinder kaur Juss is a hardcore social worker in the sector of service to special children.
Sakthi ravindran runs free education classes for the underprivileged children.
