🐾 ODIN WAS FOUND WITH A WOUND WHERE HIS EYE SHOULD HAVE BEEN

Yesterday, we received a report about a Rottweiler roaming the streets of Airoli. He was scared, confused, and had lost his left eye, leaving behind a large, painful wound.
We don’t know what happened to Odin. Whether he was injured on the streets or abandoned after his injury, we may never know. But thankfully, the person who found him stayed with him and brought him safely to our shelter. ❤️

Since arriving, Odin has been surprisingly calm. He has been eating, which is a very good sign. But beneath that calmness is a serious injury that needs immediate medical attention, treatment, diagnostics and ongoing care.

We’re raising ₹50,000 for Odin’s treatment and recovery.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to an acute shortage of water at our shelter, Freedom Farm, Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) Foundation must temporarily pause all new animal admissions, effective immediately and until further notice.

Water is fundamental to maintaining hygiene, medical care, and the daily well-being of the rescues currently in our care. To ensure their safety and health are not compromised, we have had to make this incredibly difficult decision.

Current Rescues: We are fully focusing our remaining resources on the animals already under our care.

Admissions: Paused until our water supply stabilizes. The water level in our borewell is not adequate for daily needs.

We are working around the clock to look for alternatives.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support during this challenging time. We will keep you all updated as the situation changes.
Hopefully as they monsoon arrives, the water level will recharge in our borewell.

We are exploring rain water harvesting to keep the water level though out the year.

Currently we are sourcing water from local supporters for basic needs.

Update on Pear: He is a fighter 💛

After everything he’s been through, today marks a big milestone — he has started eating on his own. No more force-feeding, just his own will to heal and live.

This journey wasn’t easy, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support we received. From those who donated, to those who shared, prayed, and stood by us — thank you for being a part of Pear’s recovery.

He still has a road ahead, but today gives us hope. And Pear… he’s proving every single day that he’s stronger than we imagined. 🐾✨

A dog, a diva, a friend, a bully, a cutie, a follower, a foodie.
She was everything. Truly, GREATEST OF ALL TIME.❤️

We will miss you pushing us to play, bully us by climbing on our shoulders, following us around like a dog, shouting at you for eating anything and everything green you see but most of all we’ll miss coming to the shelter, calling out FEBBB, and you coming to us!

We’re sure you must have already found so many friends above☁️and that you are already head butting them.

You were and will always be deeply loved and missed by all of us, FEB the G.O.A.T❤️

We will be laying her to rest today between 6-6:30pm at the place she called home, our shelter.
