Milkmaid cake with rabdi flavoured frosting ❣️
I Name- Mousumi kalita |
Ingredients-
Oil -1/4 cup
Nestle Condensed milk -200gm
Powder sugar -1/4 cup
Flour -1cup
Baking powder -1 TSP
Baki soda - 1/2 tsp
Milk- 1/2 cup
Whipping cream-1cup (blend for 10minutes for the amazing frosting)
Sugar water
🔸Method-
Begin by mixing oil , Nestle Condensed milk ,and powdered sugar together. Whisk well until lt light and creamy in texture . Once done add the dry ingredients that are flour ,baking powder, baking soda, into the liquid mixture and beat well further so that the mixture turns white and creamy.
Add a little milk and mix till the batter is fluffy and soft. You may not add the entire milk if you feel the consistency of your cake is fine and it pours down like canned condensed milk. Add vanilla essence or any essense you like and blend well. Sprinkle some maida on a greased baking tin. You can also line it with a butter paper. Pour the prepared mixture into the tin and place it on a stand in a pressure cooker. Increase the flame and pressure cook for two minutes. Now remove the whistle and cook on low flame for 35-40 minutes. If you are using an electric oven, cook at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.Insert a knife or a metal skewer into the cake and if it comes out clean, then the cake is ready. Remove from the oven/cooker and allow to cool.
Now cut into two or three layers ,i cut into two layers then added sugar water to make the sponge soft then Place 1 cake layer on serving plate or base , bottom-side up then frost top. Place second cake layer over frosting, bottom-side down; frost top and sides of cake. Decorate as desired. I have decorated in very simple way just some sprinkles and used a small offset spatula to spread the three different colored frosting on my cake.
