Finally we did it ...
What can be more rewarding than finishing a work, going home knowing you have made a difference in someone's life? :):):)
When we went to that crippled home for the first time, we were simply amazed. And yet, they were so delighted to see us there. They were fascinated by our attire and they could barely conceal their happiness about having people around. We learnt later fr
om the school principal that most of these these children had never known what a home was.It was a delight to see them today, flinging open the gates and running up to us every time they heard our car arrive. Even better to see was the way these children who were no more than eleven years old stick together and stand up for each other. I would never have thought this charity experience would ever mean so much to me. We were saying our goodbyes, one little boy who was less than 10, smiled innocently and told me thanks with so much love i was really moved he made my day:)
It just showed how much we had grown to love these children and how much they had become a part of our lives. I thought of giving a short write up about what we did, and i am lost about what to write, simply because there was so much I wanted to say about the children at Prabhavathi jayaprakash school, but there was no way we could fit all of that in. these children have truly changed my life and my view point about social service. Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to place on record our hearty thanks to everyone from my bottom of my heart to make this such a huge success. first time ever i used whatsapp for a good cause instead of sharing some crap.tongue emoticon and one common thing between you all is no one not even single individual questioned me like what is the plan what is the budget what u r gonna do al bla bla:):) instead i got a reply stating "all the best gayu send ur account number" :):) thank yu so much for this unconditional support u all have extended... really means a lot to me... and many replied back saying that they wanted to do this kind of activity long back but they didnt find a proper channel to streamline:):) dnt wry we have come for you :):):): got a gr8 network starting from Coimbatore, chennai, bangalore, singapore, US for this noble cause..... i didnt even make a single phone cal to any of you for funds, it just reached my account and we received more than what we expected :):):)
To answer one common question like how i came to know about this school? it was from Meenakshi amma who really gave me the strength to take this initiative..initially i was reluctant but she was with me all through this journey.. she patiently guided me with all her experiences... they have been doing this solely for years but this time they wanted the young generation to take it up and again no doubt we have made them proud smile emoticon
Sincere thanks to Shankar appa for the perfect logistic support and guidance extended to all of us all the time. I also extend my thanks to the core team sruthi manoj vignesh mano deepika malini kavin for their enormous cooperation in the organization of this event. An event like this cannot happen overnight. The wheels start rolling weeks ago. It requires planning and a birds eye for details. We have been fortunate enough to be backed by a team of very motivated and dedicated friends and colleagues from various sectors. I cannot thank everyone enough for their involvement and their willingness to take on the completion of tasks beyond their comfort zones! Again this good task cant be halted we are planning for next bigger project for new year. so BE READY WITH YOUR POCKETS HEAVY :):):) !!! try ur level best to make your physical presence too :):):)
