The district is characterized by a high incidence of malnutrition-related deaths as well as deaths related to Sickle cell, making it crucial to provide basic and critical healthcare services to the poorer populations in Taloda. RS Charitable Hospital Taloda was established in 2022 as a Charitable Medical Institution under RS Social Welfare foundation Taloda Trust working towards the betterment of people. However, the need for specialized and affordable medical care became apparent during the COVID-19 pandemic, which highlighted the underlying problems in India's healthcare system, particularly in rural areas. The RS Charitable Hospital Taloda provides medical care to around 8000-10000 outpatients as well as Indoor Patients annually through charitable medical services with a minimal fee. Efforts are being made to help Economically weak, poor, and tribal people fight against severe problem like sickle cell anemia, thalassemia, tuberculosis, malnutrition, dengue, Malaria, and other general diseases. The RS Social Welfare Foundation Taloda aims to provide various services under charity in various areas such as Modern healthcare, education, creating employment opportunities for local populations, and promoting green energy, advanced farming techniques, irrigation, cultural inheritance, and various other schemes. In addition to the RS Charitable Hospital Taloda, the foundation plans to establish Charitable Hospitals in Akkalkuwa, Shahada, Molgi (Tribal Hilly Area), Dhadgaon (Tribal Hilly Area), Shahda, Nandurbar, Navapur, Chinchpada and properly functional dispensaries in villages with up-to-date medication and trained staff. The foundation also plans to create Schools, colleges & hostels for the upliftment of poor people and to provide employment opportunities through Charitable Hospitals, Schools, self-employment, and other means.
