🌺 Maa Durga Mask: A Blend of Tradition & Creativity 🎨

A unique Maa Durga face crafted from paper pulp and coated with lacquer, inspired by the traditional Gamira masks of Bengal. The craft incorporates paper cuttings, fabric, clay, glue, lac and other materials.

The entire craft work was conducted by Sri Sanjib Mondal , assisted by Sri Rashbihari Garain , Sri Ashesh Roy, and our President, Sri Abhijit Guin .

🙏 Special thanks to Sri Sushovon Ghosh and Karidhya Rangini Lacquer Handicrafts Unit for making the mask, and to Crafts Hut for sponsoring the project.

📢 **Udyam Registration Camp at Rangini Lacquer Handicrafts Unit, Karidhya, Birbhum**

📅 **Date: 13 October 2026**

Birbhum Artisani organised an **Udyam Registration Camp** at Rangini Lacquer Handicrafts Unit, Karidhya, Birbhum, to promote entrepreneurship and support local artisans in formalising their handicraft enterprises.

🎉 **A Successful Outcome!**

We are pleased to share that **21 women artisans successfully registered under Udyam** through this initiative. This is an important step towards strengthening women-led enterprises, promoting financial and economic empowerment, and creating better opportunities for traditional handicraft artisans.

The programme was also attended by three Social Work students from the Department of Social Work, Visva-Bharati, who gained valuable practical exposure to grassroots entrepreneurship, community engagement, artisan livelihood development, and MSME registration.

The entire programme was conducted under the guidance of Sri Sanjib Mondal , with the participation of the Project Coordinator.

Birbhum Artisani remains committed to empowering women artisans, preserving traditional lacquer crafts, promoting rural entrepreneurship, and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities through community-based initiatives.

🏺✨ 15 Days Terracotta & Ceramic Training Successfully Completed! ✨🏺

We are delighted to share the successful completion of 15 days of Terracotta & Ceramic Training at Md. Bazar Block, filled with creativity, learning, teamwork, and new experiences.

This training has been a wonderful journey of developing skills in terracotta, ceramics, mould making, modelling, glazing, and firing, while encouraging participants to explore traditional crafts with new ideas and techniques.

A beautiful journey of **tradition, creativity and craftsmanship** through our Sri Ganapati Making Workshop.

Participants explored the art of shaping **clay by hand**, transforming a simple natural material into expressive forms of Lord Ganapati. The workshop encouraged hands-on learning, traditional craft knowledge and creative experimentation.
