A pamphlet on Health Awareness -Thalassemia prepared by District Chairman & Administrative Officer, SRKRC Mr. Parimal Vyas was released by Lions International District Governor Hemal Patel on 30/8/26 at Hotel Hare Krishna , Navsari in presence of IPDG Mona Desai ,Vice District Governor Priyanka Jain Raval , Darshana Turakhiya, Cabinet Secretary Kirti Khilosia , Treasurer Khamar Palesh, PVMCC Mukesh Patel in presence of lions dignitaries from Bharuch to Vapi, Selvasa. Thalassemia awareness pamphlets were distributed to all. Parimal Vyas spoke on Thalassemia Awareness and prevention etc with Hemang Desai

Rotary club of Surat Roundtown President Dr Hiral Shah, Dist. Governor Nilesh Shah , Dr Vinod C Shah , Dr Prashant Desai , Nikul Dave , Parthivi Dave , Dr Ekta Shah, from Nirmal Hospital , and other Rotary Club Members,etc. visited Surat Raktadan Kendra and Research Center on 30/8/26 and Dr Kanchan Mishra explained Thalassemia screening, Research, Stemcell preservation etc. Parimal Vyas gave details of other activities of SRKRC and NAT testing as well as Irradiation facility. Rotary Officers were felicitated with memento and flowers. Hemang Desai and others welcomed all guests.

Golden Jubilee Celebration of Surat Raktadan Kendra and Research Centre

The Golden Jubilee Celebration of Surat Raktadan Kendra and Research Centre was organized on Saturday, 13 June 2026, at 8:00 PM at Rang Bhavan Hall, Jeevan Bharati, Nanpura, Surat.

The program commenced with a prayer presented by doctors of the Malhar Group. A welcome dance was performed by students of a Deaf and dumb school. President Dr. Pradeep Pethe and Chief Guest Shri Nirajbhai Choksi honored the students and teachers with mementos and souvenirs.

President Dr. Pradeep Pethe welcomed all and presented an overview of the Centre's various activities. Honorary Secretary Dr. Pranav Desai introduced the chief guest Shri Nirajbhai Choksi.

Shri Nirajbhai Choksi, (Founder and Promoter of NJ India Invest Pvt. Ltd., Surat) in his address highly appreciated the humanitarian services and activities of the Centre and assured his continued support in the future.

On this occasion, centurion blood donors (those who had donated blood 100 or more than 100 times) were honored with mementos and trophies by Shri Nirajbhai Choksi, Dr. Pradeep Pethe, Shri Rajendrabhai Chokhawala, Shri Hareshbhai Mehta and Dr. Pranav Desai. Doctors of the Malhar Group were also felicitated with commemorative gifts.

Vice-President Shri Rajendrabhai Chokhawala delivered the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to blood donors, camp organizers and all supporters associated with the Centre. The program was conducted by Shri Parimal Vyas.

As part of the celebration, doctors from the Malhar Group, along with members of the Symphony Group and nearly 11 renowned paediatric specialists of the city under the leadership of Dr. Salim Hirani, presented popular Hindi and Gujarati film songs, providing delightful entertainment to all.

Director Dr. Kruti Dumaswala, Administrative Officer Shri Parimal Vyas, PRO Shri Nitesh Mehta and all staff members of the Centre, put all efforts to make this celebration event a grand success.
