🌸 International Women’s Day Celebration 🌸

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Helping Hand Welfare and Education Trust proudly celebrated the strength, creativity, and determination of women who are building a better and more self-reliant future.

Through our various skill development initiatives such as Pine Needle Craft, Knitting Training, and Handmade Soap Making, women participants have learned new skills, created beautiful products, and taken important steps towards self-employment and financial independence.

This day was celebrated to recognize the hard work and achievements of all the women who are actively participating in livelihood activities and contributing to the development of their families and communities.

We sincerely thank all the trainers, partners, and community members who continue to support our mission of women empowerment and sustainable livelihoods.

हिमाचल प्रदेश के माननीय लोक निर्माण एवं शहरी विकास मंत्री विक्रमादित्य सिंह जी की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति में आज एक ऐतिहासिक क्षण देखने को मिला।

टाटा पावर और उषा इंटरनेशनल के सहयोग से हेल्पिंग हैंड वेलफेयर एंड एजुकेशन ट्रस्ट के माध्यम से 300 महिला उद्यमियों को स्वरोजगार हेतु सिलाई किट वितरित की गई।

मंत्री महोदय ने कहा कि महिलाएं समाज और परिवार के उत्थान में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रही हैं तथा ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था को सशक्त बनाने में अग्रणी हैं। उन्होंने महिलाओं द्वारा तैयार किए गए उत्पादों की प्रदर्शनी का अवलोकन किया और उनकी मेहनत, लगन एवं आत्मनिर्भरता की सराहना की।

उन्होंने हेल्पिंग हैंड वेलफेयर एंड एजुकेशन ट्रस्ट को भविष्य में भी हर संभव सहायता प्रदान करने का आश्वासन दिया।

यह पहल महिला सशक्तिकरण और आत्मनिर्भर भारत की दिशा में एक मजबूत कदम है।
हम सभी सहयोगियों ग्राम पंचायत घनाहट्टी , प्रशिक्षकों और प्रतिभागी बहनों का हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त करते हैं। 🙏

🧵 Empowering Women through Skills and Support! 🪡

We were honored to welcome PWD Minister Shri Vikramaditya Singh ji to our helpinghand organisation Knitting Center in Shimla, run in collaboration with CMS Foundation. 🙏

The Minister interacted with the women artisans, appreciated their handmade products, and assured every possible support from the government to strengthen women’s livelihoods. 💪✨

Since 2017, Helping Hand Organisation has been committed to women empowerment through training in stitching, embroidery, handicrafts and home-based enterprises. Over the years, hundreds of women have gained self-employment and confidence through our efforts.

🌿Women Moving Towards Self-Reliance Through Pine Needle Craft | Shimla, Himachal Pradesh 🌿

We are proud to share that women from rural Shimla are stepping confidently towards self-employment and sustainable livelihoods through Pine Needle Craft training. With the support of CMS Foundation, Helping Hand Welfare and Education Trust, Shimla has initiated a livelihood programme covering Pine Needle Craft, Knitting Craft, and Handmade Soap Making across Banuti, Dhami, and Nehra areas of Shimla district.

✅ 35 women have already started Pine Needle Craft training in Banuti
✅ Training focuses on converting forest waste (pine needles) into market-ready utility and decorative products such as baskets, flower pots, pen stands, and home décor items
✅ The initiative promotes women’s economic empowerment, forest fire risk reduction, and eco-friendly livelihoods

This programme is designed to provide quick, home-based income opportunities, especially suited to the hilly geography of Himachal Pradesh, while strengthening women’s confidence, skills, and participation in local economies.

Grateful to CMS Foundation for supporting grassroots women and enabling a model that integrates livelihoods + environment + women empowerment.

‘हेल्पिंग हैंड्स’ संस्था की पहल के अंतर्गत ‘उषा एवं टाटा पावर ट्रेडिंग कम प्रोडक्शन सेंटर में महिलाओं को हाथ से बने टोट बैग तैयार करने का प्रशिक्षण दिया जा रहा है 🧵| हर बैग पूरी तरह हाथ से सिला, और कढ़ाई किया जाता है।एक बैग तैयार होने में लगभग 2–3 दिन लगते हैं —�क्योंकि गुणवत्ता, डिज़ाइन और बारीकी सबसे ज़रूरी हैं।

यहाँ बने सैंपल सिंगापुर और लखनऊ 🌍 भेजे गए हैं।�मंज़ूरी मिलते ही असली ऑर्डर शुरू हो जाएँगे।और ऑर्डर के साथ आएगी आमदनी, आत्मविश्वास और आत्मनिर्भरता। अब तक 200 से अधिक महिलाएँ इस पहल से जुड़ चुकी हैं।जल्द ही 50–100 और महिलाएँ इससे जुड़ेंगी।

We were honoured to welcome the Tata Power team & USHA International team to the helpinghand TCPC, Shimla, where they interacted with women beneficiaries and reviewed the ongoing EDP and livelihood initiatives.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase how structured training, access to tools, and continuous mentorship are enabling women to become economically self-reliant through stitching and production-based work. The Tata Power team appreciated the dedication of the trainees and the impact being created at the grassroots level.
Such engagements strengthen collaboration, transparency, and shared learning, and motivate us to further scale women empowerment and community development programs across Himachal Pradesh.
We sincerely thank Tata Power and USHA International for their continued support and encouragement towards inclusive and sustainable development.
