The Jammu & Kashmir Women Employees Association is expressing deep concern over the heartbreaking plight of our School Cook-cum-Helpers.
These dedicated workers show up every single day to ensure our children are fed, yet they are subjected to conditions that defy basic human dignity: They are paid a shocking ₹1,000 per month. How can anyone survive, let alone run a household, on less than ₹35 a day. They are denied even the most basic provision of Casual Leaves. If they fall sick or face an emergency, they are left with no safety net.
This is not just a labor issue; it is a fundamental violation of human rights and worker dignity. The hands that cook for our future generations deserve respect, fair compensation, and basic labor rights.
We stand in rock-solid solidarity with our Cook-cum-Helpers and urge the authorities to take immediate corrective action.

We the JK Women Employees urge immediate release of pending wages for the scheme workers in our School Education Department having their right due not a favour.

Demanding the immediate release of hard-earned wages is a matter of basic worker rights and dignity. Here is a strong, highly engaging Facebook post designed to maximize reach and impact.
DELAYED WAGES ARE A VIOLATION OF RIGHTS, NOT A FAVOR.
It is time to speak up for the backbone of our education system. The dedicated workforce under Samagra Shiksha has been working tirelessly without receiving their rightful honorariums.
We demand the immediate release of pending salaries for:
Cooks & Aaya Helpers Who nourish and care for our children daily
Vocational Trainers & Zonal Gender Coordinators Who shape future skills and ensure equity)
Cluster Resource Coordinators (CRCs) & Data Entry Operators Who keep the administrative gears running.
Paying workers on time is not a favor or an act of charity. It is their absolute due right. These professionals have families to feed, bills to pay, and lives to sustain. Financial negligence directly compromises their livelihood and mental peace.
We urge the concerned authorities and the Ministry of Education to clear all outstanding dues immediately
Let’s stand in solidarity with our educators and support staff. Share this widely until it reaches the decision-makers.
