🚀Empowering Inaccessible Areas: NABARD-Supported RBIC (SKUAST-K) Expands to the Border Tehsil of Uri!

NABARD-supported Rural Business Incubation Centre (RBIC) at SKUAST-K has extended its reach to the border tehsil of Uri, bringing the ‘RBIC Idea Resonator Series-II’ directly to the students of Govt Degree College Uri to ensure that no aspiring young mind is left behind.

Farflung and inaccessible areas like Uri are blessed with special agricultural lands and incredible niche resources—from organic walnuts, top-quality Kashmiri rice, rajmah, and maize to olives, maize, and medicinal and aromatic plants. These remote regions hold massive, untapped potential for processing and innovation in agriculture and allied sectors.

By reaching these remote borders, RBIC is extending a helping hand to empower local youth—equipping them with the mentorship, tools, and confidence to stand on their own feet, transform grassroots challenges into viable business ventures, and drive self-reliance through entrepreneurship.

With robust support, including incubation facilities, mentorship, and grants support, RBIC aims to serve as a high-impact launchpad to nurture grassroots ideas into scalable enterprises.
