Aab - e - Rawan ~SHUKRI LILLAH HALI MAN HAR LAHAZA NEEKO TAR SHUD AAST SHEIKH SHEIKHA SHEIKH HAMZA TA MARA REHBAR SHUD AAST~

The idea of Aab e Rawan is to bring peace and harmony in Kashmir valley along with the revival and sustenance of our heritage, tradition and rich culture of Sufism. The journey started by getting inspired from an interaction with a Kashmiri sufi cm poet cm writer, Pir Mubarak Sahab who shared the same belief and has vast knowledge about the heritage and richness of Kashmiri culture. The thought

encouraged the young unrecognized writers of similar belief to resuscitate the Sufi culture of valley and it led to setting up a framework for Aab e Rawan in the lap of a peaceful and famous shrine of Kashmir – Sultan-Ul-Arifeen Hazrat Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom. So, the foundation of Aab e Rawan was laid by young minds that believed to restore the essence of Pir Vaer along with contributing to the society in a helpful way. The organization was found in 2014 and registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 in the year 2017. We are actively interacting with Kashmiri Sufis and intend to promote our native language – Kaeshur among youth and kids in aspects of writing, singing, and poetry and much more. We have also been able to do our bit for the underprivileged families during the pandemic of 2020 in different parts of the valley with the help of our volunteers who are spread across the valley and believe in spreading love and compassion that this valley has always been known for. The love for our culture, heritage and people brings us to set some distinct goals. We aim to rejuvenate the richness of our Sufi culture by understanding the values of our ancestors. To enrich the current situation of Sufism, we offer a platform for young talent in fields of music, poetry and writing. Also, we believe that the beauty of our language is fading and intent to prevent it from dying and thus promote our language Kaeshur among youth. The valley, which is known for its natural beauty – fresh air, snow capped mountains, dense forests, pure glaciers, beautiful gardens, freshwater lakes and graceful wildlife, needs to be preserved. This led to another goal of preserving and protecting the environment by conducting drives for plantation of trees, raising awareness about cleanliness, saving water and protecting wildlife. In the same line, a drive for plantation of trees was held on the World Environment Day 2020. The youth being the foundation of this organization finds it important to address various social stigmas encountered by the young people or adults of our society. The objective is to spread awareness and encourage openness to discuss such issues and overcome them to make this valley a peaceful one!
