This World Environment Day, let us reaffirm our collective responsibility to protect, preserve, and restore the environment for future generations.

At Human Welfare Voluntary Organisation (HWVO), we believe that healthy communities and a healthy planet are deeply interconnected. Through community engagement, awareness, and sustainable practices, we can build a greener, safer, and more resilient future for all.

Together, let us act today for a cleaner environment and a sustainable tomorrow.

Today, Human Welfare Voluntary Organisation (HWVO), in collaboration with ADRA International, conducted a one-day workshop on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Anticipatory Action at the Jammu & Kashmir Yateem Trust Head Office, Srinagar.

The session, facilitated by Mr. Imran Majid, Programs Director, ADRA India, brought together HWVO field staff, community volunteers, and invited participants for meaningful discussions on preparedness, community resilience, and proactive humanitarian action in vulnerable contexts using PVCA methodologies to develop localised Early Action Protocols leveraging both traditional and scientific knowledge.

Strengthening local capacities remains central to building safer and more resilient communities.
