Eid ul Adha is not merely the Eid of sacrificing an animal — it is the Eid of sacrifice, submission, obedience, and complete trust in Allah سبحانه وتعالى.
Today, we remember the beautiful legacy of Hazrat Ibrahim عليه السلام and his noble family — a family that was tested again and again, yet responded each time with unwavering faith, patience, and submission to the command of Allah.
The life of Ibrahim عليه السلام teaches us that true sacrifice is not only outward, but inward. Along with the sacrifice we offer today, we must also strive to sacrifice our nafs, our pride, our jealousy, our anger, our arrogance, and every evil that distances our hearts from Allah.
Eid ul Adha reminds us to prioritize the commandments of Allah above our desires, to strengthen our faith, and to live in a way that pleases our Rabb.
May this Eid inspire us to imbibe the beautiful akhlaq, sincerity, sabr, and tawakkul of Ibrahim عليه السلام in our own lives. May Allah accept our sacrifices, forgive our shortcomings, and make us among those who submit to Him wholeheartedly. Aameen. 🤍
Eid Mubarak to you and your families.
