“When children step onto the stage, they don’t just perform, they discover their voice, their confidence, and their limitless imagination.”
A five-day Children’s Theatre Festival, titled “Jashn-e-Tiflan,” is set to take place from 17th to 21st November at Tagore Hall Srinagar, organized by Kashmir Kala Manch in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and the Reroot Foundation of India.
The festival aims to provide children with a creative platform to express themselves, learn teamwork, and develop leadership and communication skills through the art of theatre.
A press meet regarding the festival was held yesterday at Bait-ul-Meeras, where HELP Foundation also announced its support for this inspiring initiative that promotes creativity, confidence, and self-expression among young minds.
Highlighting the unique nature of the event, the organizers shared that four schools from Sheher-e-Khaas (the old city of Srinagar) will be participating. These schools have been engaged with the group over the past year through theatre-based activities designed to enhance children’s mental growth, creative expression, and overall personality development.
The organizers emphasized that in today’s time, such festivals that actively engage children in theatre are rarely seen. “Jashn-e-Tiflan” aspires to revive the culture of children’s theatre in Kashmir and provide a vibrant space for young minds to explore, imagine, and express themselves through art and performance.
