Every soul shall taste death. (Qur’an 3:185)
And no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. (Qur’an 31:34)

Life is temporary, and death is a reality that spares no one. Many dreams, plans, and hopes remain unfinished, reminding us how fragile and uncertain this world truly is.

It is with deep sorrow that we share the sudden demise of Tahir Rashid, a talented graphic designer from CP Advertiser. His association with HELP Foundation J&K was truly remarkable. Through his creativity and dedication, he played a vital role in shaping the foundation’s annual reports, brochures, banners, and many other visibility materials.

The loss of such a young and talented soul is deeply painful. May his good work and memories remain as a source of comfort for those who knew him.

The Chairperson and team of HELP Foundation J&K extend their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. We pray that Allah grants the departed soul the highest place in Jannat and gives strength and patience to the family to bear this irreparable loss.

Flour turns to hope as ovens softly glow in Budgam, where women are letting their dreams rise. With HELP Foundation J&K, they are baking breads, cakes, and pastries while learning hygiene, packaging, and presentation, turning simple ingredients into market-ready creations. Side by side, they share, create, and grow, building confidence and small businesses that take root in their communities. When women come together with hearts aligned, magic happens, and hope is beautifully redesigned.

At HELP Foundation J&K, we believe that every child deserves love, learning, and joyful experiences that help them grow mentally and creatively. We always strive to provide meaningful activities that spark curiosity and confidence in young minds.

Recently at Bait-ul-Meeras, an initiative of HELP Foundation J&k, we organized the Sea Shell & Coral Exhibition, where children and visitors explored the beauty of sea shells and corals and learned about nature in a simple and engaging way.

Last Sunday was also filled with smiles and excitement during Fun Feast & Festival "Shur Seand Kearan Khonea Peth Nēran". Children took part in the Lillies Experiment by our resource person and enjoyed a colorful painting session that encouraged creativity.

These moments of learning and happiness mean a lot to us.
Some pictures are attached to this post to showcase these activities and joyful memories.

Many more activities are lined up, and we look forward to sharing them with you soon.

Together, we continue to build a brighter future for our children and community.

A Green Step Towards Creativity.

On 8th November 2025, HELP Foundation J&K brought a little magic to Bait-Ul-Meeras, Ali Kadal, Srinagar by hosting Kashmir’s first-ever Terrarium Workshop, a day where hearts and hands came together to create tiny green worlds inside glass jars.
Guided by Mr. Mohd Rouf Shah, a horticulture expert with over 31 years of global experience, participants discovered how simple soil, plants, and imagination could bloom into something truly beautiful.
Watching everyone, especially the children, create their own terrariums with such love and wonder was heartwarming. Terrarium making is not just gardening, it’s a mindful art that teaches patience, balance, and respect for nature.
The room was filled with laughter, curiosity, and calm, a reminder that nature’s beauty can fit right in the palm of our hands. Encouraged by the response, HELP Foundation J&K will continue to bring such creative, eco-friendly experiences to communities across the Valley.

“When children step onto the stage, they don’t just perform, they discover their voice, their confidence, and their limitless imagination.”

A five-day Children’s Theatre Festival, titled “Jashn-e-Tiflan,” is set to take place from 17th to 21st November at Tagore Hall Srinagar, organized by Kashmir Kala Manch in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and the Reroot Foundation of India.
The festival aims to provide children with a creative platform to express themselves, learn teamwork, and develop leadership and communication skills through the art of theatre.
A press meet regarding the festival was held yesterday at Bait-ul-Meeras, where HELP Foundation also announced its support for this inspiring initiative that promotes creativity, confidence, and self-expression among young minds.
Highlighting the unique nature of the event, the organizers shared that four schools from Sheher-e-Khaas (the old city of Srinagar) will be participating. These schools have been engaged with the group over the past year through theatre-based activities designed to enhance children’s mental growth, creative expression, and overall personality development.
The organizers emphasized that in today’s time, such festivals that actively engage children in theatre are rarely seen. “Jashn-e-Tiflan” aspires to revive the culture of children’s theatre in Kashmir and provide a vibrant space for young minds to explore, imagine, and express themselves through art and performance.
