J&K Central Non-Gazetted Electrical Employees Union Celebrates its 54th Foundation Day

Jammu and Kashmir Central Non-Gazetted Electrical Employees Union celebrated its 54th foundation day on 19 January 2026 at the Union Headquarters at the PDD Complex, Bemina, Srinagar.

On this occasion, Chief Patron Rafiq Ahmad Bhat Khanyari extended his heartfelt congratulations to union core advisory, office-bearers, and all leaders and members. He said, "The program celebrated today at the Head Office, PDD Complex Bemina, stands as a testament to our unity, dedication, and tireless efforts. I sincerely congratulate everyone involved for making this event a resounding success, and I commend your ongoing commitment to the upliftment of employees and workers of the Power Development Department and the power sector of Jammu & Kashmir."

The Union highlighted the recent achievement in which the Board of Directors cleared a significant number of daily wagers. It described this as an important milestone and welcomed the decision wholeheartedly. However, the Union made an earnest appeal for the immediate clearance of the remaining candidates whose cases involve age or qualification relaxation requirements or pending biometric formalities. The Union urged the authorities to resolve these matters without delay so that justice is served to every deserving daily rated worker.

Beyond the candidates already under consideration, the Union noted that numerous other workers still have Departmental Level Committee (DLC) processes pending. It appealed to the concerned authorities to expedite these proceedings to ensure that no daily rated worker is left waiting.

Furthermore, the Union made a sincere appeal for the release of promotions for employees across all cadres. It emphasized that timely promotions are crucial for recognizing the dedication and hard work of the workforce and for maintaining their morale and motivation.

Rafiq Ahmad Bhat Khanyari also appealed to all employees and workers to continue serving with dedication and commitment, especially during these peak times when revenue collection is critical. "Your hard work is the backbone of our department's success and the foundation of a stronger power sector in Jammu & Kashmir," he added.

Marking its 54th anniversary, the Union reaffirmed its commitment to welfare of employees and workers and the progress of the department.
