Subject: Request for Creation of New Halqa Patwar Village: Bagh-e-Jowhar Wanpora

We, the residents of Wanpora, are reaching out to bring attention to the pressing identity and development crisis affecting our village, and to formally request the establishment of a separate Halqa Patwar village, to be named Bagh-e-Jowhar Wanpora.

Wanpora, located at a strategic midpoint on the Nowgam Pulwama Road (National Highway 444), is centrally positioned with proximity to major towns: Nowgam Srinagar (9 km north), Pulwama (11 km south), Pampore (7 km east), and Chadoora (7 km west). Our village serves as a gateway to the districts of Pulwama and Shopian, yet its identity remains obscure, as Wanpora is not recognized in official records, such as revenue papers, Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, or state documents.

Reasons for Establishing Bagh-e-Jowhar Wanpora as a Separate Halqa Patwar Village

1. Identity Crisis
For decades, Wanpora has faced a significant identity crisis due to its attachment to the village of Hunipora, which dominates our administrative association. The dependency on Hunipora for official representation has led to a severe lack of identity and low self-esteem within the Wanpora community.

2. Social Disparity and Public Disrespect
The residents of Hunipora, with their status as substantial landowners, exert considerable influence over public resources and property, often claiming government lands, including public spaces and even the graveyard, as their own. This treatment has left the Wanpora community feeling like second-class citizens and humiliated in public matters.

3. Socioeconomic Disadvantages
Wanpora’s population, primarily comprising landless laborers and artisans, lacks resources and faces undue disadvantage, both socially and economically, due to Hunipora’s dominance.

4. Developmental Neglect
Despite being centrally located on National Highway 444, Wanpora lacks essential government facilities. We have no middle school, healthcare center, or other critical services typically accessible in rural communities, resulting in stunted growth and limited opportunities for the residents of Wanpora.

In light of the above, we earnestly request the formal establishment of a new Halqa Patwar village, Bagh-e-Jowhar Wanpora, to enable independent administrative recognition and facilitate focused developmental initiatives. This step will help address the identity crisis, bridge the social disparity, and open avenues for basic amenities and resources crucial to our village's growth.

We have strong confidence in your understanding and support for our cause and hope that you will consider this request for swift action.
