JKPECC STATEMENT REGARDING PDL/TDL REGULARIZATION
JKPECC recently met with the Administration and higher authorities of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir regarding the genuine and long-pending demand of regularization of PDL/TDL employees of kpdcl (PDD)A thorough and meaningful discussion was held today with the concerned authorities, and JKPECC remains optimistic that this genuine issue will be resolved without any further delay.
However, if the matter is not resolved within a reasonable time, there will be no option left for JKPECC but to join the genuine cause of our PDL/TDL brothers on the ground with full strength and determination.
We appeal to all our PDL/TDL brothers to remain united, disciplined and vigilant. Please beware of habitual miscreants who have, in the past, attempted to derail the smooth process of regularization and create confusion among our employees.
Our strength lies in our unity, patience and collective struggle for a just and legitimate cause.
UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
The functioning of the Budgam Division Establishment Executive Engineer has become a matter of serious concern. The officials responsible for managing the division have shown complete non-seriousness in ensuring the timely disbursement of employees' salaries.
The salaries for the months of May, June, and now July remain unpaid, causing severe financial hardship to employees and their families. This continued delay is unacceptable and reflects gross administrative failure.
We respectfully urge the Managing Director, KPDCL, to take immediate action by fixing responsibility and suspending the concerned officials/officers of Budgam Division for their negligence.
If the pending salaries are not released and strict action is not taken without further delay, the employees will be left with no option but to launch valley-wide protests across KPDCL in support of their genuine and legitimate demands.

JKEEU URGES AUTHORITIES TO IMMEDIATELY RELEASE PENDING SALARY OF PDD EMPLOYEES
The Jammu & Kashmir Electrical Employees Union (JKEEU) expresses serious concern over the non-payment of salary to PDD employees for the month of May. We have repeatedly requested the concerned authorities to ensure the immediate disbursement of salaries, even through the previous mechanism, but unfortunately, no concrete action has been taken so far.
The employees and their families are suffering immensely due to the delay in salary payments. We once again appeal to the respected Managing Director, KPDCL, Chief Engineer, KPDCL, and all concerned authorities to intervene personally and resolve this issue without any further delay.
The employees of PDD/KPDCL are already facing several long-pending issues, including:
Pending salary disbursement
Restoration of the Welfare Fund
Insurance coverage for employees
Implementation of SRO-43
Regularization and related issues of PDL employees
Serious safety lapses and shortage of essential safety equipment
Various other legitimate service and welfare demands
The employees are also facing difficulties arising from the unbundling of the power sector. Despite repeated representations and appeals, we have received assurances from the higher-ups, but the ground reality remains unchanged. Promises and assurances alone cannot solve the problems of field workers.
The employees who work day and night, often risking their lives to maintain the power supply and serve the public, deserve dignity, security, timely salaries, and basic service rights.
JKEEU has approached the concerned authorities on numerous occasions, but the issues continue to remain unresolved. We therefore ask the authorities:
If the employees are not paid their salaries on time, their welfare issues are ignored, their safety is compromised, and their legitimate rights remain pending despite repeated assurances, then what option is left for the employees and their union?
We sincerely hope that the concerned authorities will take immediate and concrete action and resolve these issues at the earliest, so that the hardworking employees and their families do not suffer any further.

URGENT APPEAL TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC
The Jammu & Kashmir Power Employees Coordination Committee (JKPECC-PDD) appeals to the general public to keep children and livestock away from electrical installations during the ongoing wet spell.
People are urged to exercise extreme caution around power infrastructure to prevent accidents. Please maintain a safe distance from electrical poles, transformers, substations, overhead power lines, and any fallen or damaged electrical equipment, as these may be live and pose a serious risk of electric shock.
If you notice any damaged electrical installations, snapped conductors, or other hazardous conditions, immediately inform the nearest Power Development Department (PDD) office or the concerned authorities. Do not attempt to touch or handle any electrical equipment yourself.
Your awareness and cooperation can help save lives.
Issued in the interest of public safety.

This initiative is a step towards strengthening unity, mutual respect, and coordination among all employees. In the present circumstances, our collective strength lies only in standing together.
If we want to protect our rights, safeguard our service interests, and ensure a secure future in the department, unity is the only way forward. Let us set aside all differences and work together for the welfare and dignity of every employee.

Gvn...The Jammu & Kashmir Power Employees Coordination Committee (JKPECC) wholeheartedly welcomes and appreciates the decision of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir to extend banking, insurance, and financial benefits to Daily Rated Workers, Casual Workers, and Contractual Employees through the recent MoU signed with J&K Bank.
This is a positive and employee-friendly step by the present government, reflecting its commitment towards the welfare, social security, and financial empowerment of thousands of workers serving in different departments across Jammu & Kashmir.
The provision of a Rs. 5 lakh Group Personal Accidental Insurance Cover, along with other banking facilities and benefits, will provide much-needed financial security to employees and their families. We express our sincere gratitude to the Government, the Finance Department, and J&K Bank for making this welfare initiative possible.
JKPECC hopes that the government will continue this positive approach and fulfill all genuine demands of the Power Development Department (PDD) employees, including long-pending service and welfare issues.
We extend our special thanks to the Managing Director, KPDCL, and the Chief Engineer, KPDCL, for their support and efforts towards the welfare of employees. Their continued cooperation and commitment to addressing employee concerns are highly appreciated.
We also thank all officers, representatives, and stakeholders whose collective efforts have made such employee-centric initiatives possible. We look forward to more welfare measures in the future for the betterment of the workforce.
