*TAFOK Jammu & Kashmir held its 6 th AGM

Srinagar, SEP 25, 2025:
The Travel Agents Federation of Kashmir (TAFOK successfully conducted its Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from our esteemed members and the travel trade fraternity, underscoring their unity and shared commitment to promoting tourism in Jammu & Kashmir.

During the election process, the following office bearers were unanimously elected for the new term:
The newly elected team expressed sincere gratitude to all members for their trust and assured continued efforts to strengthen collaboration, address industry challenges, and create opportunities for sustainable tourism growth in the region.

Special appreciation was extended to the Mr Asif Ahmed Fasil Ahmad and last not least Nayeem Nazir * and his team for their remarkable contribution and dedication in steering the association through a successful AGM particularly during challenging
TAFOK also placed on record its appreciation for the veterans of tourism, who were special invitees and honored guests for the event:

We strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam today. Such inhuman acts against innocent lives are unforgivable and stand against peace and humanity. While these videos reflect a painful reality, they can create unnecessary fear and emotional trauma for prospective visitors planning to travel to Kashmir. As members of the local community, we are all deeply saddened and shaken by the recent incidents. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones and with those who are injured; may they find strength and healing during this incredibly difficult time.

In these moments of collective grief, let us act with compassion and responsibility. We must stand united to preserve the trust of our guests and support the recovery of our region. Avoiding the spread of such content is a small but significant step we can take to protect the future of tourism in Kashmir.
Our heartfelt prayers are with the victims and their families. Violence has no place in our society, and the culprits must be brought to justice. United, we stand against terrorism.

With profound sorrow, the Tafok family expresses its heartfelt condolences on the *sad demise of Haji Gulam Mohd Baktoo*, beloved father of Mohd Yousuf Baktoo, who passed away this morning 21st Feb 2025,

May Allah SWT grant him the highest place in Jannah and give strength to the bereaved family to endure this loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.

We share the pain and Grief to entire Baktoo family and Pray for External peace for the deceased and patience to the bereaved family.

Inna lillahi wa inna llayhi Raaji'oon, May allah bless him and grant him a place in heaven.
