Civil Society & Senior Citizens Kashmir (J&K) mourn the demise of Fayaz Ahmad Parray.
Srinagar | April 09, 2026: Civil Society & Senior Citizens Kashmir (J&K) have expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of Fayaz Ahmad Parray, a resident of Yayil Rawalpora, who passed away yesterday evening.
The management, including M Altafdar Rajbagh,Mohammad Amin Sofi, S A Rashid Sheikh Hilal Ahmed, Sheikh Latif, Mohammad Shafi Wani, Popinder Singh (Bittu), Deepak Manswalia, Muneer Ahmed, Ghulam Ahmed Cheta, Abdul Khalid Patloo, Muzzaffar Ahmed Rather, Abdul Hamid Bhat, and others, extended their sympathies to the bereaved family and loved ones.
They remembered the deceased as a noble, humble, and compassionate individual known for his piety, kindness, and gentle nature. His passing has created a deep void and profound sorrow among family, friends, and the community.
Fayaz Ahmad Parray was widely known for his years of voluntary service at LD Hospital, where he tirelessly assisted patients and their families with unmatched dedication and compassion. His selfless service earned him immense respect across all sections of society. He was also a close relative of renowned social activist Sheikh Yunus Rasool and upheld the values of social service with great humility and commitment.
M Altafdar Rajbagh stated that his demise is a great loss to society, as he truly represented the spirit of humanity, generosity, and service. He added that his contributions will always be remembered and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
The members collectively prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and conveyed their solidarity with the family during this difficult time.

Civil society and senior citizens of J&K Kashmir express heartfelt condolences to renowned Kashmiri singer and top-grade vocalist Waheed Jeelani on the sad demise of his beloved mother.
Srinagar/Jammu | February 2026: Civil Society & Senior Citizens Kashmir J&K have expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the mother of renowned Kashmiri singer and top-grade vocalist Waheed Jeelani.
In a condolence message, the management and senior members including M Altaf Dar (Rajbagh), Mohammad Amin Sofi, S A Rashid, Sheikh Hilal Ahmed, Sheikh Latif, and others conveyed their deepest sympathies to Waheed Jeelani and his entire family during this hour of immense loss.
They prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and for Allah Almighty to grant her Jannat-ul-Firdous, and also prayed for patience, strength, and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

Srinagar | Jan 10,2026: The mother of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Altaf Khan and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zubair Khan passed away in Srinagar on Friday after a brief illness.
Civil Society & Senior Citizens Kashmir J&K have expressed profound grief and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Members including M Altafdar Rajbagh, Sheikh Hilal Ahmed, S A Rashi ,Abdul Rashid Parray, Mohammad Amin Sofi ( Next door Neighbour), Mohammad Shafi Wani, Sheikh Abdul Latif, Ghulam Mohiuddin Dar, Fayaz Ahmed Sheikh, Muneer Ahmed, Farooq Ahmed, and other senior members, colleagues, and well-wishers stood in solidarity with the family during this difficult time.
They prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and for strength and patience for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

T10 Cosco ٹورنامنٹ کا گرینڈ فائنل آج گراؤنڈ، راج باغ میں کامیابی کے ساتھ منعقد ہوا، جس میں ٹیم دھرما ٹائیگرز اور ٹیم A کیوب چن پورہ کے درمیان ایک سنسنی خیز مقابلہ دیکھنے کو ملا۔ ایک دلچسپ مقابلے میں، دھرما ٹائیگرز نے ٹائٹل اپنے نام کیا، اور ایک اچھی طرح سے مستحق فتح حاصل کی۔

سماجی و سیاسی کارکن، سینئر ٹریڈ یونین لیڈر، سوک ریفارمر، اور سابق کارپوریٹر ایم الطاف راجباغ، جنہوں نے اس موقع پر مہمان خصوصی کی حیثیت سے شرکت کی، نے دھرما ٹائیگرز کے مالک فیاض احمد اور اس ٹورنامنٹ کے منتظم مراد کو خصوصی مبارکباد پیش کی۔ کھیل

الطاف ڈار نے اس بات پر روشنی ڈالی کہ اس طرح کے کمیونٹی ٹورنامنٹ نوجوانوں کے لیے ایک مثبت اور تعمیری پلیٹ فارم پیش کرتے ہیں، نظم و ضبط، فٹنس، ٹیم ورک اور باہمی احترام کو فروغ دیتے ہوئے پڑوس کے رشتوں کو مضبوط کرنے میں مدد کرتے ہیں۔

ایونٹ کے دوران، مقامی لوگوں اور حصہ لینے والی ٹیموں نے راجباغ میں ایک مناسب کھیل کے میدان کی منظوری کے اپنے دیرینہ مطالبہ کو دہرایا۔ انہوں نے زور دیا کہ نوجوانوں کو منشیات کے استعمال اور دیگر سماجی برائیوں سے دور رکھنے کے لیے قابل رسائی کھیلوں کی سہولیات ضروری ہیں، حکام پر زور دیا کہ وہ اس معاملے کو ترجیح دیں۔

“Specially-Abled Persons Are an Integral Part of Our Society”

Attended the programme at CRC Bemina today on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
The event highlighted the importance of empowering specially-abled individuals and recognizing their unique abilities.

Srinagar, Dec 03, 2025: Socio Political Activist, Senior Trade Union Leader and civic reformer Mohammad Altaf Dar attended a special programme at the Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Bemina, organised to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The event focused on promoting inclusivity, skill development, and various welfare schemes aimed at empowering specially-abled individuals across Jammu & Kashmir.

During the programme, the Director CRC emphasized that specially-abled persons are “an integral part of our society who possess unique abilities.” He underscored the collective responsibility of society and institutions to ensure these individuals receive the right platforms, opportunities, and support systems to showcase their talents and lead dignified lives.

M Altafdar Rajbagh extended his sincere gratitude to Dr. Mehjabeen Nabi Chairperson Care Foundation for the invitation, and My heartfelt thanks also to Dr. Mehjabeen Nabi and Management Care Foundation for the kind invitation. appreciated CRC’s dedicated efforts toward inclusive education, capacity-building, and accessibility.

Attended the Interfaith Eid-e-Wiladat-e-Masih Celebration organised by CON India on 4th December 2025 at The Valley View Hotel, Gole Market, Karan Nagar, Srinagar.

The programme was held under the theme “Love, Peace, Sacrifice, Prosperity, Unity, Common Brotherhood & Human Dignity.”

It was a meaningful gathering with participation from all religious communities, strengthening the message of harmony and universal brotherhood.

Civil Society & Senior Citizens Kashmir mourn the loss of noble businessman Ghulam Ahmad Khan, prayers for his Maghfirat and strength to the bereaved family : M Altafdar Rajbagh

Srinagar, Nov 29, 2025:
Civil Society and Senior Citizens of Kashmir, J&K, express deep sorrow over the passing of renowned businessman Ghulam Ahmad Khan, a distinguished member of the respected Khan Dynasty of Naqashpora, Barbarshah, Srinagar. A close relative of student leader and social worker Mohammad Amin Sofi, Khan Sahib left for his heavenly abode on November 27, 2025, after a brief illness.

Ghulam Ahmad Khan was widely known for his generosity, humility, and lifelong commitment to social welfare. His noble character, compassionate nature, and service to the community earned him immense love and respect across all sections of society.

A delegation of senior citizens and civil society members, including M Altafdar Rajbagh, Sheikh Hilal Ahmed, S.A. Rashid, Sheikh Abdul Latif, Mohammad Shafi Wani, and several others, visited the bereaved family to offer heartfelt condolences. They were accompanied by student leader and social worker Mohammad Amin Sofi, a close relative of the deceased.

The delegation paid glowing tributes to the departed soul and prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous for the deceased and Sabr-e-Jameel for the bereaved family.
People from all walks of life continue to visit the residence, reflecting the profound impact Khan Sahib had on the community through his kindness, philanthropy, and exemplary conduct.

“Allah marhoom ko Jaware Rehmat mein buland maqam ata farmaaye aur lawahikeen ko Sabr-e-Jameel naseeb farmaaye.”

Ghulam Ahmad Khan, S/O Late Abdul Gani Khan, R/O Naqashpora, Barbarshah, passed away on 27 November 2025. Fateha Khawani will be held on Sunday, 30 November 2025, at 10:30 AM at his ancestral graveyard.

Civil Society and Senior Citizens Kashmir extend their deepest condolences to the family and stand in solidarity with them during this hour of grief.
