We are delighted to share that, with the support of the Azim Premji Foundation, under the Gender Justice – Adolescent Girls program, sessions were successfully conducted for girls studying in GTWAGH Schools of Mandasa and Meliaputti blocks, Srikakulam.

The sessions focused on:

✨ Empowering Tribal Adolescent Girls for Gender Justice ✨

As part of our Gender Justice – Adolescent Girls initiative, Mahila Margadarshi organized an interactive training session at GTWA High Schools in Madasa Block, Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh, focusing on leadership skills, decision making, and problem solving.

🌱 Through this program, tribal adolescent girls gained practical tools to nurture confidence and vision, strengthen critical thinking, and build resilience and creativity.
🌱 We believe that investing in girls’ leadership today creates empowered women tomorrow, shaping stronger and more inclusive communities.

The coordinators undertook a systematic process of collecting detailed data on single women as part of the Strength Project. This initiative was designed not merely as an exercise in documentation, but as a foundation for holistic support. By gathering information on their social circumstances, economic challenges, and emotional wellbeing, the project aims to create tailored interventions that empower these women to live with dignity and resilience.

Mahila Margadarshi – Andhra Pradesh successfully organized a two-day Staff Capacity Building Workshop on 26th & 27th December 2025 with the participation of 15 dedicated team members.

🌸 Mothers as Changemakers for MHHM🌸

Mahila Margadarshi, with the support of Azim Premji Foundation, is facilitating small group meetings with mothers of tribal adolescent girls in Srikakulam.

These gatherings recognize mothers as key influencers in shaping healthier futures for their daughters.

💬 Through open dialogue, mothers are encouraged to:

- Promote hygienic practices at home 🧼
- Challenge harmful myths and taboos 🚫
- Support their daughters to continue schooling during menstruation 🎓
- Build stigma-free spaces within families and communities 🌿

Mahila Margadarshi conducted two days intensive staff orientation on the Her Strength Project, a transformative initiative focused on empowering single women.
• Deep discussions on gender disparities in society and their impact on single women
• Identification of single women in communities to ensure inclusion and visibility
• Training on baseline survey data collection for evidence-based action
• Collective reflection on how survival can be transformed into dignity and leadership

💡 This orientation was not just a training — it was a call to action. Our staff came together to strengthen their understanding, sharpen their tools, and commit to building pathways where single women rise from resilience to leadership.

✨ 16 Days of Activism & Human Rights Day – 10th December 2025 ✨

On this powerful occasion, Mahila Margadarshi with the support of Global Girls Glow and Rebuild India Fund brought together women in a workshop to reaffirm that:

🌍 Women’s Rights are Human Rights.

The session created space for reflection, dialogue, and empowerment, focusing on:

🔹 Violence & Safety – raising awareness and building strategies for protection

🔹 Economic & Social Rights – strengthening dignity, opportunities, and equality

🔹 Justice & Accountability – ensuring voices are heard and rights upheld
