"This time, it wasn’t just about competitions, costumes, or stage lights. It was about holding each other up when everything else felt like it was falling apart. From miscommunication to mismanagement, from last-minute changes to endless delays — the odds weren’t in our favor. But this contingent? We didn’t come to break. We came to rise.

What we lacked in support, we made up for in solidarity. When things went wrong, we leaned in — with open arms, loud cheers, and quiet strength. We celebrated every win, stood by every loss, and never once let go of each other.

IISER TVM didn’t just attend IICM. We endured it. And in doing so, we built something far more valuable than medals — a bond that couldn’t be shaken.
Here’s to every sleepless night, every last-minute fix, every shared laugh and shared fight. Here’s to showing up for each other when it mattered the most.

Proud is an understatement. This contingent was — and always will be — unstoppable.

MEHFIL🎻
A huge shoutout to the dedicated IISER TVM classical music team for their fantastic performance at Mehfil! Securing 4th place in a fair competition, even with a few initial delays, is a testament to their hard work and collaborative spirit. Achieving this entirely through their own efforts is truly commendable.

For the Carnatic segment, the team presented the beautiful ragam Charukesi, starting with a captivating alapana, followed by the krithi “Aadamodi Galade”, and further exploring the raga’s intricacies with manodharma.

In the Hindustani classical section, they presented Raag Darbari, featuring “Tu ayeso sai,” a Chota khayal written and composed by the legendary Sadarang (Naimat Khan). They also showcased their creativity with an original Tarana composed by the team themselves, set to ektaal in Raag Darbari.

WESTERN INSTRUMENTAL COMPETITION 🎸
Despite being a brand new event facing initial delays and technical hurdles, our team showcased remarkable skill and dedication, proudly securing 4th place without any professional assistance! The musicians, in particular, demonstrated immense talent, highlighting the vibrant artistic and musical domains present. While a more organized setup would undoubtedly ensure a smoother and more seamless experience in the future, the dedication and passion on display were truly commendable.iisertvm

DANCE BATTLE 💃
IISER TVM Dance Team secured 4th place at IICM’24 Dance Battle! An event that demands elementary understanding of movement, beat, grace and energy, and really tests our ability to think on the spot.

Competing against incredible teams pushed us to new heights, and every move on that stage reflected our dedication and love for dance. While the podium was just out of reach this time, the experience, growth, and camaraderie we gained were invaluable. Next time, we’re coming back stronger, sharper, and ready to take the top spot!
