In a remarkable celebration of literature and intellectual engagement, RAAHAT Book Club today organised a Book Reading and Launch Session of the book โThe Divine Codes of the Cosmosโ authored by Rehmat Bashir. The event marked the fourth session of the RAAHAT Book Club and was held at the RAAHAT Mental Health Organisation office in Sopore.
The session witnessed a meaningful gathering of writers, readers, academics, and literature enthusiasts who came together to explore the themes and inspirations behind the book. Speaking on the occasion, Rehmat Bashir, the author of the book, shared his personal journey and experiences that inspired him to write โThe Divine Codes of the Cosmosโ. He reflected on the deep spiritual and philosophical questions that shaped the narrative of his work.
A special highlight of the session was a critical reading and paper presentation by Rafia Wali, a renowned Urdu short story writer and literary critic. Her insightful analysis shed light on the symbolic, spiritual, and intellectual dimensions of the book, which was followed by an engaging dialogue and interaction with the audience.
In his address, Mr. Aashiq Hussain Zaki, Chairman of RAAHAT Book Club, reaffirmed the Clubโs commitment to fostering a culture of reading and meaningful conversation in the Sopore. โWe at RAAHAT Book Club are determined to nurture the culture of reading, writing, and dialogue in Sopore. Our sessions are not just events, but steps towards intellectual awakening and community enrichment,โ he said.
Prominent voices who shared their reflections during the event included Well known Kashmir Poet Shahnaz Rashid, artist and writer Rouf Qayasi, and Professor Abdul Rasheed. Their contributions further enriched the discussion and added varied perspectives on the bookโs significance.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective resolve to keep literature alive through such thoughtful platforms. The RAAHAT Book Club extended an open invitation to all lovers of books and ideas to participate in its upcoming session
