रुhi/Ruhi

रुhi/Ruhi रुhi is a social initiative founded by a 4th year student, Ayushi Jain and co-founded by a 2nd year student, Vasundhara Gupta at Ashoka University.

It is a Society to teach English to the Support Staff on campus and bridge the communication gap. रुhi started when a 4th year student at Ashoka conducted research on the lives and satisfaction levels of the support staff on campus. The data revealed a unanimous, yet disturbing conclusion. The staff on campus felt extremely lonely due to their long working hours and expressed a desire for interact

ing with students. Added to their woes was the language barrier and communication. And from there, stemmed the revolutionary idea of creating a society that not only increased the student-staff interaction but also encouraged learning for both the parties. A two-fold purpose of the club was thus envisioned and it was approved by the Administration.
