Tamil Nadu has taken a landmark step in ensuring healthcare is inclusive and compassionate. The Tamil Nadu Medical Council has made LGBTQIA+ Sensitisation training mandatory for all doctors, medical faculty, and students.

✨ All Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes must now include sessions on transgender health and LGBTQIA+ issues—with compliance reports to be submitted within 30 days.

This move not only strengthens medical knowledge but also breaks down biases, ensuring every individual receives healthcare rooted in dignity, respect, and equality.

On 14th September 2025 Jamshedpur Q***r Circle with Subhkamna Foundation organised an Entitlement Camp at Mahanand Basti Burmamines
The camp helped the transgender and MSM community to apply for important government schemes and identity cards Around 50 community members joined and with the support of volunteers applied for Transgender ID Card Pension Card Ayushman Bharat Card ABHA Card and E Shram Card
For many this was their first government ID card which will help them get health support welfare schemes and financial benefits The camp also gave clear guidance about future entitlements and created a safe and respectful space for everyone
This work is not just about forms It is about dignity equality and inclusion for the transgender and MSM community in Jamshedpur

Bis*xual Awareness Week is a time to recognize and uplift the voices of those whose attractions span across genders. Bis*xual people often face erasure, judgment, and invalidation—even from within the LGBTQIA+ community—but it’s time to challenge these misconceptions. Bea Arthur didn’t just light up our screens — she lit up lives. Her quiet generosity gave homeless LGBTQ+ youth not just shelter, but hope, dignity, and a future. 🏠✨

Her legacy reminds us: sometimes the kindest acts are the ones done in silence, yet their echoes last forever. 💛🌈

When Bea Arthur passed away, she left behind more than unforgettable laughter — she left behind love. With a $300,000 gift to the Ali Forney Center, she helped create The Bea Arthur Residence, a safe haven for LGBTQ+ youth in need.
