The Secretary of the Department of Religion and Culture of the Central Tibetan Administration, Mr. Dhondul Dorjee, paid a special visit to attend the enthronement ceremony of the 23rd Geshe at Pal Shenten Menri Ling (Menri Monastery).
Accordingly, today at 1:30 PM, he was formally received by the Yungdrung Bon Monastic Centre Society, the Menri Dratsang, and representatives of the local Tibetan Bonpo Settlement. With a ceremonial welcome, he arrived at Menri Monastery.

At the special time of the birth anniversary of Tonpa Shenrab Miwo, the founder of Yungdrung Bon, we are pleased to offer the opportunity to send offerings and dedications to Redna Menling Nunnery, Dolanji, Himachal Pradesh, India, in support of the ‘Dul-Chog’ (Buddha Tonpa Shenrab’s Perfect Way of Dharma Practice Ritual) to be performed on March 2nd and 3rd, 2026. You are cordially invited to participate. Gompa member-supporters can send offerings, together with dedications, at any time up until March 3rd, 2026.

The Event:

Every year at Redna Menling Nunnery, the birth anniversary of Tonpa Shenrab Miwo is celebrated on the 15th day of the first lunar month. This day marks the First Deed of the Twelve Great Deeds—the Deed of Birth. Prayers for world peace are conducted over two days from morning until evening, and practitioners circumambulate the monastery and make butter lamp offerings.

This special practice is dedicated to the continuing welfare and stability of the Yungdrung Bon tradition and to the well-being of all sentient beings.
