Shrirampur Samvad Foundation उत्तरी बिहार में बच्चों और प्रकृति के साथ काम करने वाली एक ग़ैर लाभकारी संस्था। This dialogue takes place with people and also with our inner soul.

Shrirampur Samvad Foundation is a registered organization, it has been working for education, employment, health, cleanliness and nature conservation in and around Shrirampur village of Sitamarhi district of Bihar. According to our naturalistic ideology, communication is such a medium, if we use it properly, we can establish a balance between personal life and society. Nature is the root of our life. Only by taking inspiration from this, man has been able to achieve the process of progressive development. That is why we experience with all our senses in the school of nature and try to achieve balanced and sustainable development in society and in our own lives. Presently we are working with about sixty children. Children come to a beautiful eco-friendly campus and regularly participate in different workshops. From time to time we invite interested fellows from all over the world to organize workshops. In the last two years, our team has organized Lok Chetna Yatra twice for eco-tourism and rural employment generation, which along with hundreds of Indians and foreign nationals, former Bihar Education Minister Dr Ramchandra Purve and well-known poet Geet Chaturvedi have also participated. we have been initiated also the Children Bank, Sakhi Saheli and Baal-Manch Programme. Anyone can put money in the Children's Bank, but only children can withdraw money according to the rules set accordingly. This bank is completely a children's bank, so they will be excited about this bank. They will be able to know how much money they have been able to add and where to use it. The bank Manager and all members also belong to them. Especially the children who spend every single rupee here and there, they can access this bank and can use their money more meaningfully. It has been seen that most of the children spend money on chocolates and chips and after eating they throw the Plastic here and there, which affects the environment the most. Sakhi Saheli is the programme for girls where we are trying to make a comfortable space for young girls, where they can talk about their different rights and have a healthy dialogue on health, education, Periods and marriage. through this initiative we also trying to make girls economically sustainable. Baal-Manch is the platform where kids perform any kind of art before villagers. Baal-Manch is organising every Sunday at 4 pm in open ground where villagers have been invited. Every Sunday 15 kids perform any of the performances among Poetry recitation, Storytelling, Singing, Dance, News anchoring and many more. Different Initiatives of Shrirampur Samvad

Seven or eight years ago, we imagined an eco-friendly space where children could come, learn different skills, meet people, experiment, and discover their own creative voices.

At the time, it felt almost like a dream.

Today, that dream is slowly becoming a living space.

Children and young people who have grown up around our campus are now exploring painting, poetry, photography, acting, filmmaking and video editing. Ashutosh (Ashutosh Kumar ), just 16, is one of them.

Ashutosh started spending time at the campus at a very young age, meeting mentors, observing, experimenting and learning along the way. Today, he has edited this beautiful little video himself, and we are incredibly happy to share it with you.

The footage was captured by Neel Anand (🖤 ) one of our bright volunteers, during our Girls’ Residency. The footage features mentor Anu Priya, who posed an important question to the participants and invited them to respond in their own words.

What makes this little Video special for us is the journey behind it: Neel captured the moment, Ashutosh shaped the story, and both are young people who found a space to learn and create at Shrirampur Samvad.

For us, this is more than a video edited by a 16-year-old. It is a small glimpse of what can happen when children are given time, space, trust and exposure to possibilities.

We are deeply honoured that Aaryan Chandra Prakash ( ) and Arpit Chhikara ( ), Founding Directors of Shrirampur Samvad Foundation, have been invited to facilitate sessions on “Storytelling and Filmmaking” and “Documenting Our Memories” at Nature Camp (Devpur) in Balodabazar, Chhattisgarh.

Organised amidst forests and collective learning, the camp brings together more than 60 young participants along with mentors, educators, forest officials, and wildlife-nature experts from different backgrounds, creating a rare space where stories, ecology, memory, and lived experiences meet.

For us, this invitation is not merely participation in a programme; it is a reminder that the philosophies nurtured quietly within rural communities can also travel outward and contribute meaningfully to larger conversations around nature, education, and belonging.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shri Ganveer Dhammshil (DFO Balodabazar-Bhatapara), the Chhattisgarh Forest Department, Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary, BANMANAI and the entire organising team for creating such thoughtful spaces for young minds and for inviting us to be part of this journey.

What began at Shrirampur Samvad as intimate conversations around nature, storytelling, and community is now finding resonance beyond our village boundaries.

In many rural parts of Bihar, girls still grow up within deeply patriarchal realities, where opportunities, exposure and safe spaces for self-expression often remain limited.

Sakhi Saheli was imagined as a small attempt to gently challenge that reality.

For six days, young girls from different villages came together to live, learn and grow in a nature-based residential space built on trust, warmth and dialogue.

There were no rigid hierarchies here.
Mentors sat beside participants.
Conversations continued under trees, around shared meals, during walks, in silence and late-night storytelling circles.

The residency encouraged girls to ask questions, express themselves, explore creativity, engage with technology, theatre, cinema and storytelling while also simply allowing them to breathe, rest and feel safe.

For many participants, this was the first time they experienced a space where they did not feel constantly observed, judged or controlled.

And perhaps that itself became one of the most meaningful learnings.

Sakhi Saheli is about creating an environment where rural girls can begin to see themselves, their voices and their possibilities differently.

We are deeply grateful to all the participants, mentors, volunteers, supporters and the surrounding nature that held this journey so gently.

This was only the first Girls’ Residency.

We are sharing a glimpse from a special session led by Shri Alok Chandra Prakash ji, founding member of Gram Chetna Andolan.

During the Girls’ Residency, he engaged with the participants on the subject of higher education and exposure for rural youth, thoughtfully breaking it down step by step.

His session opened up new perspectives and helped participants reflect on their own educational journeys and possibilities ahead.

Every place carries its own memory,
holding within it the presence, energy, and experiences of all those who pass through it over time.

The Shrirampur Samvad Eco-Friendly campus, too, is shaped by the mentors who come here, travelling from far away to share their time, sensitivity, and creative spirit with the participants.

We are deeply grateful to Annu Priya ji,
