Kartavya shall initiate and associate with the matters of public interest. It would also like to Co-operate and assist other institutions engaged in bringing social reforms. The Society shall primarily strive to achieve the following objectives towards social commitment:-
1) Education - Most of the Local tribe had remained illiterate, semi barbaric and uncivilized. Sense of liberty, equality an
d fraternity had been a more dream for the Primitives. Even after the Independence of our region, people in this part of the Nation had to wait for a long period for the social freedom and equality. Local tribes are still deprived of the ultimate emancipation in the field of education. Therefore our basic object is to enable every tribal community to get educated and thus to assimilate in the current stream of the Nation. So we aim primarily towards supporting basic education in the society and try our level best to combat illiteracy, discrimination of Cast, Community and Religion. We would also engage in conducting career counseling seminars and prove to be mentors to the students for their bright future.
2) Combating Social evils – Kartavya shall take efforts to combat the deep roots of evil among the tribal’s and aim to lead the society towards better sophisticated social life. Our aim will be of informing and helping poor people in a more sociable, more transparent, more educative way. Following will be the key efforts of the society in this context (1) Efforts will be to combat against Dowry System, Child labour and Child marriage (2) To form Social groups in order to strengthen the efforts. (3) To appreciate the one who fights against these evils and thus to encourage the efforts. (4) To create awareness on ill effects of consuming Drugs and Alcohols. (5) To enable people to take possible efforts for the welfare of Women & Children and (6) To conduct awareness campaigns & sessions on saving the girl child.
3) Environmental Support– Kartavya would aim to work towards Animal care & wildlife conservation. We would take efforts to rescue and rehabilitate all the homeless stray & street domestic animals and at the same time conservation of wildlife will also be a part of our functioning. The efforts would also extend towards achieving the Global motto of Green & Clean Society through activities leading to Tree Plantation & adoption, Water Conservation etc.
4) Awareness on Financial Aid by GOI and Economic Support– Kartavya would aim to create awareness on financial aid provided to the meritorious students through Governmental and Non Governmental establishments. We shall act as the channel between such establishments and the needy candidates. We would believe in supporting the Educational set ups especially at the rural region by facilitating educational materials for their direct consumption.
5) Encouraging Small Scale Industries - To help them in the efforts of developing Small Scale Industries, Home Industries and enable them for necessary training in the particular field he/she opted. To equip him with the knowledge by organizing seminars from time to time.
6) Halls – To build community halls for Social, Cultural and Educational gatherings.
7) Providing Job Opportunities – In order to remove poverty, able needy would be helped to start Government recognized shops, small scale units, also offering jobs in the Industries located in the same area. Thus social and economic justice will be done to the people residing in this part of region.
8) Welfare for Differently Abled – Physically Handicap as well as mentally challenged individuals would be assisted by the possible economical means; Vocational assistance would also be extended to the needy ones.
9) To create awareness about Governmental Schemes – To understand the different kinds of Government policies and schemes meant for the citizens of India and check the status of its awareness primarily among the residents of UT of DNH. To associate with efforts with respect to creating awareness about such Schemes among the residents of UT of DNH.
10) Health and Medicine – To inform the people about the advantage of cleanliness around their surrounding, Medical drives & camps and to aware people about HIV AIDS, Cancer, Tuberculosis, Malaria, air and water borne diseases and any other different kinds of epidemics.
11) Natural Calamities - To help people in natural calamities like earthquake, flood, cyclone and also associate in activities leading to disaster management programmes and mock drill related to natural or manmade emergencies.
