We paid tribute to the visionary leader, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 129th birth anniversary at Siliguri Lions Netralaya on 23rd January, 2026. His vision and legacy were remembered, and his photo was garlanded. Present were President Lion Nirmal Saha, Netaji's Birthday Chairman Lion Sitaram Agarwal and Netralaya Chairman Lion Jai Singh Kundalia.

"You can't get very far until you start doing something for somebody else" -Lion Melvin Jones

We celebrated the Birth Anniversary of our Founder Lion Melvin Jones with great pleasure and enthusiasm today at Siliguri Lions Netralaya by garlanding his photo. It was his vision, mission and passion to work for the community and serve the needy. Following his footsteps we are conducting our service activities in large numbers and will continue doing the same in future. MJF members were also felicitated and juice was distributed among 300 beneficiaries. Present were President Lion Nirmal Saha, Dist. GST Coordinator Lion Jayanta Saha, ZC Lion Seema Saha, Program Chairman Lion Subhash Ahuja, MOC Lion Udita Aich , Lion Meghraj Sethia, Lion Saibal Sankar Das, Lion Bijoy Dhar, Lion Jyoti Saha and 2 new probable members were introduced namely Mr. Debasish Dam and Mr. Manojit Lahiri.

Our 15th Food For Hunger camp was successfully held at Anand Vihar Colony today, where 350 needy individuals benefited from the food distribution initiative. We extend our gratitude to the Anand Vihar Colony members for sponsoring this event.

FOOD FOR HUNGER CAMPS
DATE: 4TH JANUARY, 2026

Our 13th Food For Hunger camp was conducted at Agroni Sangha Ground in the memory of Late Lion Ram Kumar Agarwal. Food distribution was done among 350 beneficiaries there.

14th Food For Hunger camp was also conducted at North Bengal Medical College & Hospital in memory of Late Rathindra Nath Dey which was sponsored by Mr. Somnath Dey. Food distribution was done among 450 beneficiaries there.

As 2025 came to an end, our 12th Food For All camp was conducted at Vidyasagar Club Maidan, North Colony in the memory of Late Lion Ram Kumar Agarwal on 28th December, 2025. Food distribution was done among 350 beneficiaries there.

Children's Day Celebrations at Anil Sishu Tirtha School

We celebrated Children's Day with the students of Anil Sishu Tirtha School, Mahananda Para, Ward No. 6, Siliguri on November 14, 2025. The event was filled with joy and enthusiasm as gifts (lunch box, sweaters and food packets) were distributed among 25 students, and 10 sweet packets were given to the teachers. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring smiles to the faces of the children and show appreciation for the dedication of the teachers.

Present among members were Program Chairperson Lion Manju Choudhury, Lion Udita Aich, Lion Jai Singh Kundalia, Lion Shantanu Roy Chowdhury, Lion Meghraj Sethia and President Lion Nirmal Saha.

Thanks to our members- Lion Shantanu Roy Chowdhury for sponsoring lunch boxes and Lion Manju Choudhury for sponsoring sweaters for the children.
