Lions Club of Siliguri Terai Oorja organized the OORJA Pickleball Cup-2025 presented by Intellia Homes Powered by PRM Begraj Group; a two-day sporting extravaganza, successfully concluded on 7th SeptemberтАЩ2025 at Elevate Pickleball Court, Eastern By-pass in a truly grand manner. The tournament saw an overwhelming participation of 138 players from across Sikkim, Siliguri, and Kolkata, making it one of the most vibrant and competitive pickleball events in the region. The winners of the tournament in the MenтАЩs Double category were Lion Gaurav Bansal & Lion Jatin Agarwal, in the Mixed Doubles Lion Gaurav Bansal & Simoni & in the singles Mr. Kushal Bajaj was the winner.
The event was formally inaugurated with an Opening Ceremony on the 7th, graced by eminent Lions dignitaries including PID Lion G.S. Horaji, LCIF Area Leader Lion Shrawan Chowdharyji, VDG Lion Pankajji Maskara, LCIF Vice-Coordinator Lion Naveen Parakh, Cabinet Member Lion Sujataji Dhirasaria, Lion Manishji Agarwal (President of Lions Club of Siliguri Terai), DC Sports Lion Vicky Sariaji & others. Our guests also enjoyed a friendly match of Pickleball amongst themselves. Our beloved District Governor, Lion Sureshji Agarwal, also honored us with his presence and witnessed the final matches of the tournament with great enthusiasm and interest, adding to the pride and spirit of the tournament.
The Oorja Pickleball Tournament was organized with great passion with an aim to promote fitness & create platforms for youth engagement. Lion Gaurav Bansal & Lion Jatin Agarwal were the Program Chairmen for the event alongside Lion Saaket Agarwal, President; Lion Rahul Jhawar, Secretary; Lion Raghav Agarwal, Treasurer; Lion Akshay Nangia, VP & other members of the Lions Club of Siliguri Terai Oorja were instrumental in organizing the tournament. The two-day celebration of sportsmanship and camaraderie came to a fitting close with the Award Ceremony, marking a memorable conclusion to an event that truly reflected the spirit of unity, competition, and service.
