Eastern Himalayas Travel and Tour Operatorsโ€™ Association (EHTTOA) is the apex body of tour operators in Eastern India. Founded under the initiative of active tour operators from Siliguri and supported by Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in North Bengal [FOCIN], the association has earned the distinction of being the most widely participated grass root level organization of people en

gaged in travel trade. Set up in early 2002, the association has played active role in promoting tourism and ensuring standardized information and service for the visitors from across the world. The activity of the association includes co-coordinating with members of other similar associations within and outside of India, acting as a think tank for the tourism policy formulation by the government, function as a pressure group in developing better tourism infrastructure and tourist friendly mindset, arranging regular programs for promotion of tourism, ensuring hassle free travel for the visitors by stopping harassment of the tourists at different junctions, establishing tourism as a priority industry in the East Himalayan region etc.

We are pleased to share that WE recently had the honour of meeting Lyonpo Namgyal Dorji, Honourable Minister of Industry, Commerce & Employment, Bhutan.

The meeting was highly productive, focusing on strengthening and streamlining cross-border tourism and ensuring a smoother, hassle-free transit experience for travelers between our nations. A key highlight of the discussion was enhancing travel movement processes to make cross-border journeys more seamless, comfortable, and visitor-friendly.
