Animal Helpline Shelter is an animal shelter with the aim of providing timely medical aid to injured and ill stray animals. We provide them with better medical treatment by setting up medical sterilization camps in various parts of North Bengal. We also provide them with shelter and timely meals and when they are physically fit, they are released again to the streets. Apart from rescue, medical an

d shelter services, AHS also provides legal adoption and takes proper measures toward animal cruelty.

Last night, our founder Anup Da heard a heartbreaking cry near a petrol pump and found that a speeding bike had hit a dog and fled. Without wasting a moment, he rushed back with a blanket, rescued the injured dog, and brought him to our shelter. Treatment started at 2:15 AM.
Many people expect endless service from rescuers but forget that they too get tired, injured, and sick. Yet when an animal is in need, they put their own pain aside and step forward to help.
A special salute to the kind-hearted man who stayed with the injured dog until rescue arrived, even after being bitten.

How someone could be so cruel and heartless?

This sweet girl was found near Ramghat after spending days in unimaginable pain. Our volunteers rescued her and discovered multiple maggot-infested wounds covering her body, along with a severe tick and flea infestation.

She is now safe at our shelter and receiving treatment. Thankfully, she is already doing better, but her condition remains serious and she will need long-term medical care, nutritious food, and regular wound treatment to fully recover.

This Dog rescued on Pradhannagar Siliguri Due to negligence during road construction, this dog was horribly burned on hot tar and lost all its hair. Our team from Animal Helpline Shelter worked night and day, and now it's completely fine, physically and mentally, with its fur grown back. This is a huge achievement for us
