🦴🧠 Building Strong Bones & Peaceful Minds!

Rotary Club of Siliguri Central, in association with Siliguri Orthopaedic Society, conducted an engaging Bone Health & Mental Health Awareness Programme at Himalayan International Residential School.

The mental health session was led by Dr. Subhash Goyal, Heartfulness Institute, while the bone health session was conducted by eminent orthopaedic surgeons from Siliguri — Dr. A. K. Sasmal, Dr. Rohit T. Mohpal, Dr. Nayeem Ali and Dr. Avirup Mukherjee.

Around 350 students and teachers participated in an interactive session covering bone health, first aid for bone injuries, injury prevention, and the importance of maintaining a calm and peaceful mind.

A meaningful initiative towards healthier bodies, stronger minds and happier lives. 💙

Today’s project was a meaningful step towards building a healthier community. We had the opportunity to interact with nearly 30 residents of Model Town, conducting 24 DEXA bone density scans and engaging in an insightful session on bone health and fall prevention.

Together, we continue to create awareness, promote preventive healthcare, and make a positive difference in our community.
