3,551 kilos of waste.
Yep… you heard that right. 😅

That’s what we collected from Salbari, Siliguri, on 20th September, during our 15th CleanUp Drive under Project Udaan a CSR initiative of YCPL/VIVO

Honestly… we almost wondered,
did this place become a garbage collection centre?

Our volunteers cleaned it up, but here’s the thing
We can clean today, but keeping it clean is everyone’s responsibility.

So before you throw your next piece of waste, ask yourself “Would I want this outside my own home?”

PROJECT UDAAN | 15TH CLEAN-UP DRIVE ♻️

Another Sunday, another step towards a cleaner community. 💚

Today, with full energy and dedication, Team Save Earth For Life (SEFL) successfully conducted the 15th Clean-Up Drive under Project Udaan, beginning at 10:00 AM.

♻️ Total waste collected: 3,551.698 kgs

What was once gradually turning into a dumping ground was transformed through the collective efforts of our volunteers and supporting organisations. The collected waste has been sent to proper waste-management facilities for further handling.

Our heartfelt appreciation to Rewa Rehabilitation Centre and Lakshya Rehabilitation Centre for their continued support, and to YCPL | Vivo for making Project Udaan possible through their CSR initiative. A huge thank you to every volunteer and SEFL member who showed up, worked with dedication and made today’s drive fruitful. 🙌💚

Special thanks to Tenzin N. Bhutia , Officer-in-Charge, Salbari Traffic Guard, for his valuable support and cooperation.

It is honestly unfortunate that beautiful community spaces are still being treated as dumping grounds. Cleaning a place is not the solution if people continue to dump waste there.
To everyone who lives around or uses these areas, please understand that your surroundings are your responsibility too. Don’t throw waste on roadsides, open spaces or near natural areas simply because someone else may eventually clean it.

We can remove 3,551 kgs today, but we cannot keep removing the same waste tomorrow. The real change begins when we stop dumping it in the first place.
Let’s take responsibility, dispose of waste properly and protect the places we call home. 🌍♻️

This Sunday, let’s come together once again to give back to our surroundings and take action for a cleaner, healthier environment. 🌍💚

Under Project Udaan, a CSR initiative of YCPL | Vivo, Save Earth For Life (SEFL), with the support of Lakshya Rehabilitation Centre and Rewa Rehabilitation Centre, is organising a community Clean-Up Drive at Salbari.

This is more than just collecting waste, it is about creating awareness, taking responsibility and reminding ourselves that the places we live in belong to all of us.

NEPAL FLOOD RELIEF DRIVE 🇮🇳🇳🇵❤️

From Siliguri to Rasuwa, this was never just a journey it was a commitment to stand with our neighbouring country when people needed support.

What began with a simple appeal soon became a collective effort. People from Siliguri and beyond came forward with food, rations, water, new clothes, utensils, hygiene essentials, children’s items and financial contributions. Every contribution helped us move one step closer to the affected families.

On 31 August, our team began the journey from Siliguri.
What followed were days of continuous travelling, sleepless nights, damaged roads, vehicle problems, massive landslides and difficult terrain. At several points, our vehicles could not move ahead and some of our volunteers had to stay behind. But the relief journey continued.

We finally reached Dhunche, Rasuwa, and went towards the severely affected areas witnessing first-hand the destruction, broken connectivity and the reality faced by communities there.

Following the relief distribution process, we handed over supplies through designated holding centres, while our volunteers also reached affected families wherever access was possible and distributed essential items directly.

There were moments of exhaustion, uncertainty and struggle. But there were also smiles, kindness and moments we will never forget.

This mission was possible because people chose to come together. To every donor who contributed, every volunteer who gave their time, every person who shared our appeal, and everyone who supported us in any way thank you. ❤️

And our sincere gratitude to the Government of Nepal, rescue teams, local communities and everyone continuing to work for the affected families.

Our relief work in Rasuwa has now been completed, and our team is heading back towards Kathmandu and then home to Siliguri.

The journey was difficult. The purpose was simple.
Stand with people when they need us.

🇮🇳❤️🇳🇵SILIGURI STANDS WITH NEPAL | NEPAL FLOOD RELIEF DRIVE

When Nepal needed help, Siliguri came together. ❤️

After our previous relief efforts during the Assam Floods 2022, Sikkim Floods 2023 and North Bengal Floods 2025, Team Save Earth For Life (SEFL) once again stepped forward this time for our neighbouring country, Nepal.🇳🇵

With the incredible support of our donors, volunteers, members and well-wishers, we collected essential rations, drinking water, dry food, new clothes, utensils, hygiene products, sanitary pads, children’s essentials and other relief materials.

On 31 August, our team left Siliguri and began the journey towards Rasuwa.
2 days, 13+ hours of travel. Countless sleepless nights. Difficult roads, vehicle breakdowns, tyre failures and massive landslides. Three vehicles started the journey, but only one could eventually move ahead with the relief supplies.

We finally reached Dhunche, Rasuwa, and travelled towards the severely affected areas where roads had disappeared and entire settlements had been swept away.

Following the Government of Nepal’s relief distribution system, we handed over supplies at designated holding centres. Wherever possible, our volunteers also went on the ground, identified affected families and personally delivered essential items.

From distributing rations and utensils to bringing a small smile to children who have lost so much every effort was our way of saying, “You are not alone.” ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to the Government of Nepal, rescue teams, local communities and everyone working tirelessly on the ground.

And to every single person who donated, volunteered, shared our appeal, helped with logistics or simply believed in us this journey was possible because of you all❤️

You gave us more than donations.
You gave us trust. And we carried that trust from Siliguri 🇮🇳 to Rasuwa🇳🇵

🌿 PROJECT UDAAN | CLEAN-UP DRIVE ♻️

Today 6th September 2026, we came together once again to take responsibility for our surroundings and make a difference on the ground. 🌍💚

Under Project Udaan, a CSR initiative of YCPL | VIVO Save Earth For Life (SEFL), in collaboration with Goodwill Associates of People, with the support of Sukna Gorkha Purba Sainik Sangatan, Lakshya Rehabilitation Centre and Grace Paramedical, conducted a community Clean-Up Drive at Sukna.

⏰ Time: 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM
♻️ Total mixed rejected waste collected: 7,289.87 kgs

What was gradually becoming an illegal dumping ground was addressed today through collective effort. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to every volunteer who spent their Sunday working under the sun, handling waste and choosing action over excuses. 🙌💚

A special thank you to all the participating organisations and volunteers who came from different places to stand together for Sukna, and to the Sukna Forest authorities/team for their support and cooperation.

A clean-up drive can remove thousands of kilograms of waste, but it cannot solve the problem if the dumping continues.
This is not only the responsibility of an Organisation , volunteers or the Forest Department. Sukna belongs to its people, and protecting it is everyone’s responsibility.

Please do not turn our roadsides, forests, drains and open spaces into dumping grounds. Use proper waste-disposal systems, reduce waste and speak up when you see irresponsible dumping.

We can come together and clean today but keeping Sukna clean tomorrow starts with every one of us.
Let’s not leave behind a dumping ground for the next generation.
Let’s leave behind a cleaner Sukna. 🌿💚
