Today, as Save Earth For Life completes 7 years, we look back with immense gratitude and pride.

What started as a small step has grown into a journey shaped by countless volunteers, members, supporters, well-wishers, partners, and everyone who believed in our purpose and stood with us along the way.

Every events like clean-up, plantation, awareness campaign, and every small act of change has been possible because of the people who continue to walk with us. 🙏

A heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for being a part of this journey. This milestone belongs to all of us.

Every forest has a story… and every step we take can help protect it.

On 18th July 2026, Save Earth For Life joined hands with the Sukna Range, Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, Government of West Bengal, to celebrate Aranya Saptaha 2026.

The day began with a plogging and clean-up drive through the forests of Sukna, where every piece of litter removed became a promise to protect nature.

That promise continued with a plantation drive, planting not just saplings, but hope for a greener tomorrow.

Forest officials, students, volunteers, environmental organizations, and nature lovers stood together with one shared purpose, to protect, preserve, and celebrate our forests.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shri Deepak Rasaily Sir, Range Officer, Sukna Forest Range, and to every individual who made this initiative possible.

Because forests are more than landscapes... they are the lifeline of our planet.

Aranya Saptaha 2026🍃

On 18th July 2026, Save Earth For Life (SEFL) was honoured to collaborate with the Sukna Range, Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, Government of West Bengal, in observance of Aranya Saptaha 2026.

The day began with a Plogging-cum-Clean-up Drive, where participants collected litter while walking from the Sukna Forest Area (Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary) to the Sukna Forest Range Office. The initiative highlighted the importance of keeping our forests clean and demonstrated that protecting nature begins with responsible action.

Following the clean-up drive, participants joined a Plantation Drive, reaffirming our shared commitment to restoring green cover and strengthening the region’s rich biodiversity.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from forest officials, schools, environmental organizations, volunteers, students, and nature lovers, all coming together with one common purpose,to protect, preserve, and celebrate our forests.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Sir Shri Deepak Rasaily, Range Officer, Sukna Forest Range, for inviting Save Earth For Life (SEFL) to be a part of this meaningful initiative. His dedication towards forest conservation and community participation continues to inspire collective environmental action.

15th July 2026 /Fieldwork-cum-Workshop at Tieedi Forest Garden | A Day of Learning🌿

At Save Earth for Life (SEFL), we strongly believe that the best learning happens beyond the four walls of a classroom. With this vision, our Batch 4 Interns participated in an enriching Educational Fieldwork-cum-Workshop at the Tieedi Forest Garden , where they experienced a day filled with learning, observation, and hands-on activities.
The interns explored the beautiful forest garden and learned about Tieedi’s inspiring journey and philosophy. During the guided tour, they were introduced to various concepts of permaculture, natural ecosystems, biodiversity, food forests, water conservation, and natural building techniques. The session encouraged participants to observe how nature functions as a complete ecosystem and how humans can work in harmony with it.

Holistic Waste Management Orientation, The orientation provided valuable insights into holistic waste management, helping interns understand different categories of waste, the importance of segregation at source, and how waste can be managed responsibly. Rather than seeing waste as a problem, the session encouraged participants to understand it as a resource when handled correctly. The discussion was practical, engaging, and thought-provoking.

The final session focused on practical learning, where interns actively participated in waste segregation. They learned to identify different types of waste and segregate them correctly while understanding the importance of responsible waste management. This hands-on activity helped bridge the gap between theory and practice, giving everyone valuable real-world experience.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire Tieedi team for their warm hospitality, valuable guidance, and for sharing their knowledge and experiences with our interns.
This fieldwork was not just another activity, it was an opportunity to connect with nature, understand environmental responsibilities, and develop practical skills that will stay with our interns for years to come.

🌱Plantation Drive 2026 🌱

In collaboration with LINCOLNS HIGH SCHOOL, SILIGURI

On 27th June 2026, Save Earth For Life (SEFL), in collaboration with Lincolns High School, successfully organized a Plantation Drive at the Lincolns High School premises, beginning at 10:30 AM onwards.

A total of 38 saplings were planted during the drive, including fruit-bearing trees such as Mango, Jackfruit and Guava, along with native and valuable species like Chakrasi, Jarul, and others that will contribute to biodiversity and a healthier environment in the years to come.

The initiative brought together enthusiastic students, teachers,volunteers, and members who came together with one common purpose , to contribute towards a greener and healthier future by planting trees that will continue to benefit generations to come.

Throughout the event, participants actively took part in planting saplings, learning about the importance of native trees, biodiversity, and the role that greenery plays in combating climate change, improving air quality, and creating healthier communities.

However, plantation is not just about planting a sapling and taking a photograph. The real responsibility begins after the event ends. A tree survives not because it was planted, but because someone cared enough to nurture it, protect it, and watch it grow.

A heartfelt thank you to the management of Lincolns High School for their support and participation. Special gratitude to Deepak Sir, Forest Ranger Officer, Sukna Forest Range, for generously providing the saplings and supporting this initiative.

PLANTATION DRIVE 2026 🌱

Save Earth For Life (SEFL) is delighted to announce a Plantation Drive in collaboration with Lincolns High School LINCOLNS HIGH SCHOOL, SILIGURI on 27th June 2026 Saturday at the Lincolns High School premises, starting from 10:30 AM onwards.

This initiative aims to encourage environmental responsibility among young people and strengthen our collective commitment towards creating greener and healthier communities.

However, plantation is not just about planting trees for a day or taking photographs for a moment. The real impact lies in nurturing and protecting these trees so they continue to grow and benefit future generations.

We warmly invite students, volunteers, and members of the community to join us in this meaningful initiative and become part of a greener future.

Every piece of waste removed today is a victory for our rivers, our environment, and our future.

On 14th June 2026, Save Earth For Life successfully conducted the 12th Clean-Up Drive under Project Udaan, a CSR initiative of YCPL/VIVO vivowb , at Janata Nagar, Ward No. 44, Siliguri.

With the monsoon approaching, this effort is more important than ever. Thousands of kilograms of waste that could have entered our rivers and waterways have now been prevented from causing further environmental damage.

In collaboration with YCPL/VIVO, supported by the Unikind Foundation , Lakshya rehab official and an incredible team of dedicated SEFL volunteers, we successfully removed an astounding 3,714.46 kilograms of mixed and rejected waste from the riverbank.

We were honored to be joined by Mr. Shyam Sir and members of the YCPL/VIVO team, whose continued support and belief in community-driven environmental action have strengthened this journey.

But the responsibility doesn’t end with a clean-up drive. Lasting change requires responsible waste disposal, effective waste management, and collective action from all of us.

Protecting our rivers is a shared responsibility.

With the monsoon season approaching, this effort carries even greater significance. Thousands of kilograms of plastic and waste that would have eventually entered our rivers and waterways have now been prevented from causing further environmental damage. Every sack collected today is a step towards protecting our rivers, our ecosystems, and the future generations that depend on them.

We were also honored by the presence of Mr. Shyam Sir and the YCPL/VIVO team, who joined us today. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to YCPL/VIVO for believing in the power of communities and for standing with us throughout this journey.
We also sincerely appreciate Unikind Foundation and Lakshya Rehabilitation Centre for their continued support and for encouraging their members to become active agents of change.

Most importantly, we salute each and every volunteer who worked tirelessly despite the challenging conditions. Your dedication proves that ordinary citizens can achieve extraordinary things when united by a common purpose.

However, a clean-up drive alone cannot solve the problem. As we enter the monsoon season, we sincerely appeal to both local residents and concerned authorities to work together towards proper waste management and environmental responsibility. A clean riverbank cannot be maintained by volunteers alone. Lasting change is only possible when citizens dispose of waste responsibly and authorities ensure effective waste collection and awareness. Let today’s effort be a reminder that protecting our environment is a shared responsibility, not an occasional activity. 🌍♻️💚
