One Drive. Many Hearts. Real Impact🤝

It was not just a clean-up drive.
It was a reminder that change begins when people decide to act.

A total of 3566.92 kgs of waste was removed from the riverside, waste that had been piling up due to lack of proper waste management and irregular garbage collection. What we witnessed was alarming, but what we created together was inspiring.

This impactful drive was conducted as a CSR initiative by and strongly supported by Save , and

Volunteers, local residents, and even children stepped forward to be part of the solution. Awareness was spread. Conversations were started. A message was delivered, don’t dump waste, protect the river, protect our future.
This drive stands as a reminder that real change does not need big speeches, it begins with simple actions.

Let us not stop here. Let this be a habit, not an event.
We also extend our gratitude to all the volunteers for their support and cooperation. With continued awareness programs, proper waste management systems, and community participation, such initiatives can have a long-lasting impact on society because we also believe that together we can and together we will ✊🏻

Today 17th May 2026 marked a powerful step towards restoring our environment as 3566.92 kilograms of waste were removed from the riverside stretch at Maharaj Colony Road, Ward No. 4, Siliguri.

This drive was conducted under Project Udaan by Save Earth For Life as a CSR initiative in collaboration with , with valuable support from , , and

What we witnessed today was alarming. A massive quantity of waste had been continuously dumped along the riverside. During our interaction with local residents, many shared that they lack proper waste management facilities and that the municipal garbage van does not regularly reach this area. With no alternative system in place, they felt compelled to dispose of waste near the riverbank.
Despite these challenges, today brought hope, Several local residents and children joined hands with our volunteers. We didn’t just clean the area, we spoke to the community, raised awareness, and sincerely requested everyone to stop dumping waste there again. Awareness is as important as action.

However, we must also highlight a serious concern. We did not receive the expected support or response from the Ward Councillor’s office, which created additional difficulties during the drive. Environmental responsibility is not just for volunteers and organizations, it is also the duty of local authorities to ensure proper waste management and care for their respective wards.

Still, our volunteers stood strong.
With unity, determination, and love for nature, the team turned words into action, “Together we can, Together we will.” And today, we proved it.

💚 A heartfelt appreciation to every volunteer, every local participant, and every child who came forward to be part of this change. Your effort, time, and spirit made this impact possible.

This is not the end. This is a reminder that change begins with us and continues with collective responsibility.

3566.92 kgs of waste removed. Countless minds made aware. One step closer to a cleaner Siliguri.

Team SEFL & Team had the joy of meeting Meenakshi Umesh from Learning Center, Nagarkoodal, Tamilnadu - today at Mini’s mud house in Khaprijot, Siliguri.

is a beautiful learning center which operates more as a community, in a village in Tamil Nadu that brings together alternative education, sustainable living, farming, mud house building, creativity and community life. Their work with children and families has inspired many people across the country to reimagine education and everyday living. We had meaningful conversations on different aspects of sustainability and community life - ranging from cleanliness drives and plantation work to awareness initiatives and grassroots community efforts. shared from nearly 30 years of lived experience...

What stayed with us most was her emphasis on inner change. She spoke about the importance of beginning with ourselves, while also having compassion for people who may hold different views or live irresponsibly, and continuing to do the work with sincerity and patience. Through simple and practical anecdotes from her own journey, she shared thoughts and experiences that deeply encouraged everyone...

SEFL also presented its work to her. She warmly encouraged the team, appreciated the sincerity behind their efforts and wished them well for the future.

She also appreciated the simplicity and thought behind Mini’s mud house and the effort that went into creating the space.
We came back encouraged not only by the ideas shared, but also by the simplicity and consistency of the life she has lived over the years.
Looking forward to learning and working together in the future.

Kalimpong’s Clean-Up That Everyone Should See✊🏻

On 10th May 2026, at Novelty Premises, Kalimpong, what had stood for years as a dumping yard was transformed in just four hours of determined action. From 10 AM to 2 PM, our volunteers worked relentlessly and cleared 3890.245 kgs of rejected waste from a space that was originally meant to function as a drainage line for the community.

This impactful clean-up was carried out under The CSR initiative of YCPL/VIVO under Project Udaan, in collaboration with Zen Gorkha, and with the valued support of Georgian Football Club and Sasonians Football Club.

What seemed impossible in the morning looked hopeful by the afternoon. This was our first drive in Kalimpong, and it proved that when communities come together, even years of neglect can be reversed.
A clean place is not a one-day achievement, it is a daily responsibility. Let this transformation inspire all of us to protect our surroundings and say no to illegal dumping.

We also sincerely urge the concerned authorities to take the necessary steps, monitoring, and strict action to ensure that such illegal dumping does not happen again at this site. Preventive measures and accountability are essential to protect restored public spaces.
At the same time, we appeal to the people of Kalimpong to understand that cleanliness is not a one-day effort by volunteers, but a daily responsibility of every citizen. Let us respect public spaces and ensure this place never turns into a dumping yard again.

Together, we didn’t just remove waste, we restored dignity to a public space.
Together for our Mother Nature 💚
Together we can, together we will ✊🏻

Today 10th May 2026 , from 10 AM to 2 PM, a determined group of volunteers turned intent into impact at Novelty Premises, Kalimpong. In just four hours, 3,890.245 kgs of long-neglected waste was cleared from what was once meant to be a functional drainage line but had, over the years, become a dumping ground.

What looked impossible in the morning looked hopeful by the afternoon, With relentless effort, teamwork, and a shared sense of responsibility, the volunteers transformed the site into a cleaner, safer space for the community. This milestone was made possible through the collaboration of and the support of Georgian F.C. and Sasonians F.C.

This impactful drive was conducted under Project Udaan, as part of the CSR initiative of YCPL/VIVO, reinforcing the belief that collective action can restore dignity to our surroundings.
This was our first event in Kalimpong, and it marks the beginning of many more meaningful collaborations ahead.
Cleaning a place once is an achievement. Keeping it clean is a responsibility. Let this not be a one-day effort but a long-term habit. Public spaces are not dumping yards. They are shared assets, and it is on all of us to protect them.

We also respectfully urge the concerned authorities, Municipality, and local samaj leaders of the areas to take firm and immediate action against illegal dumping in public spaces. Clean-up drives can restore a place once, but consistent monitoring, proper waste systems, and strict accountability are essential to protect it for the future.

Together we can, together we will✊🏻

From Mountains of Waste to a Message of Hope✊🏻

On 3rd May 2026 at Devidanga, what looked like an impossible dumping yard turned into a mission of hope, action, and responsibility. From 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM, dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly under the sun and removed 8,896.49 kgs of rejected waste packed into nearly 300 sacks, clearing a place that had been neglected for years.

The collected waste was transported to the CPU unit of Champasari Gram Panchayat for further processing. We also installed bamboo fencing and awareness banners to ensure this place is never turned into a dumping spot again.

This transformation was possible because people chose action over excuses. Heartfelt thanks to every volunteer, the team from Lakshya Rehab, and all the self-volunteers who stood with us. Gratitude as well to everyone supporting and motivating us through social media.

We can clean the waste, but keeping the place clean is a shared responsibility. Let this be a reminder that real change begins when citizens step forward.

If you wish to be part of our next clean-up drive, feel free to DM us and join the movement.
