We at Mercy Home provide clothes, medicines, food items and basic hygiene and sanitary items for underprivileged women and children. We provide adult education to many illiterate women in different villages and also have provided free tailoring training for women and gave them a course completion certifica
te. In our child development program, at present we have adopted 60 children from different villages. We provide them free education, food, shelter and other basic care. Since its beginning in 2002, we could sponsor several hundreds of children in the past years for their food and education. Even now on a regular basis also we are conducting feeding programs in different villages. Activities based on Upliftment:
In our mission to help poor and needy we also believe that we have to enable these women and children to be independent and thus to encourage that we do projects such as training women to learn tailoring, startup cottage industry, start own business at their convenient place. We have provided many sewing machines have been given to start their own business at their own convenient location. Also provided them training for kitchen gardening and start vegetable and fruit shops. At present we have 300 children under our care. We sponsor for their education by providing school books, school fees, school uniforms and one time meal every day. We also conduct various health and hygiene awareness programs. Also conduct medical camps and basic health screening for women and children. Activities based in Safety and Security:
There are many activities we do towards their safety and security needs so that they are able to live as dignified members in the community. Women and children are taught about their rights and responsibilities. Along with their physical safety, we also counsel women and children who face domestic violence or under issues that need emotional and mental care. For their financial security, we help women especially mothers by giving them the initial expenses to establish some business or income generating projects thus encourage them to earn from their labor and have a better lifestyle. Financial security helps them to move forward with their life and help them to be take care of their family as well. We are having various income generating training programs, so that they are able to identify their potentials and thus work on it. Through all these activities we aim that the women and children in our community are able to lead a better life through our service and dedication.
