DESCRIPTION: On 8th March, 2026, we, along with our parent club, Lions Club of Silchar Central, hosted the 22nd Gana Bibaha at Normal School, Silchar. 13 beautiful couples embarked on their new journey, receiving essential gifts like gas stoves, bedding, clothing, jewelry, and one month’s ration.

The day was filled with warmth as Lions, Leos & dignitaries blessed the couples. With lunch, medical support & cultural performances, we made sure their special day was truly memorable!

Wishing them a lifetime of happiness!

This initiative aimed to provide essential warmth to families in this remote area during the winter season. Our collective effort reflects our commitment to community service, and this project stands as one of our club's signature initiatives dedicated to improving the lives of those in need.

DESCRIPTION: On 15th November, 2025, the Leo Club of Silchar Central and Lions Club of Silchar Central jointly organized a Bijoya and Diwali Night Celebration at the Lions Eye Hospital Auditorium. The evening was filled with vibrant cultural performances, engaging games, and an exciting lottery, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere for all present.

During the programme, the club also paid a solemn tribute to Late Zubeen Garg, the veteran singer of Assam, honoring his invaluable contribution to music and culture.

After the successful completion of the programme, the evening was gracefully concluded with a dinner, marking the end of a memorable celebration.

Activity - KSAT 2025: RESULT DECLARATION & PRIZE DISTRIBUTION

DESCRIPTION: On 9th November, 2025, Leo Club Of Silchar Central, in collaboration with Dr. Kalam Institute of Science and Education, successfully organized the Result Declaration and Prize Distribution Ceremony for the Kalam Scholarship cm Aptitude Test, which was conducted on 26th October, 2025.

The programme was held at Rajiv Bhawan, Silchar, where approximately 950 students, along with their parents, from various schools participated in the event. The presence of such a large gathering reflected the enthusiasm and importance of the scholarship initiative in encouraging academic excellence among students.
