“Nivedita Nari Sangshta” was founded by Mrs Diba Roy, a social worker and a philanthropist, in the year 1996 with a mission and a vision for uplifting the social status of women and children in Barak Valley of Assam. Since the time of its inception till date, the organisation has engaged itself in many programs and schemes with the support of Government agencies and local administration. The progr
ammes and schemes which the organisation has been part of till date has benefited many downtrodden and marginalized population of lower Assam, in the field of Education, Health, Women empowerment and nutritional needs of Lactating Women and Children. The Organisation is registered as a non – profit society, having registration number RS/CA/243/43 of 1997-98, under the Societies Registration Act of 1860.
