On the auspicious occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities and the 15th Foundation Day of Kaumudalaya, the day began with dignity and pride as the President of Kaumudalaya hoisted the flag, symbolizing unity, hope, and progress. The Secretary then formally felicitated the President, marking the beginning of a meaningful and memorable celebration.
The program commenced with a soulful tribute to our beloved cultural icon and the pride of Assam, Zubeen Garg, whose music continues to inspire countless hearts.
Joy and laughter filled the grounds as inmates participated in a Musical Chair competition, followed by the delightful Go As You Like event featuring specially-abled children. These activities were graciously judged by Shri Durlav Borah Sir and Shri Akram Hussain, whose presence added encouragement and warmth to the participants.

All guests and well-wishers were respectfully felicitated as a gesture of gratitude for their support and contribution.
The prize distribution ceremony celebrated the achievements and enthusiastic participation of the children and inmates.
In honor of 15 meaningful years of service, dedication, and love, the inmates lit 15 symbolic candles, creating an emotional and powerful reminder of the journey, resilience, and hope that defines Kaumudalaya. A tribute was also offered to the renowned flute maestro, late Dipak Sarma, acknowledging his artistic legacy.
The cultural segment was gracefully inaugurated by well-known social activist and eminent businessman Shri Hariprasana Hazarika, who was also felicitated on the occasion. The celebration continued with the melodious performance of Mayabini, setting a heartfelt tone for the evening.
A touching moment followed as the President, General Secretary, and all inmates came together to cut the anniversary cake — a gesture symbolizing unity, family, and shared growth.
The cultural performances showcased the talents and spirit of the participants, beginning with a beautiful drama by the special children. This was followed by songs and dance performances by the inmates. Esteemed performers Plaban Bhuyan and young talent Raj Das also took the stage, offering soulful musical tributes to Zubeen Garg.
