In a few weeks the rain will stop. The forests will remain green but the sky will turn into that deep blue that you can gaze at through the day. The days will be warm but there will be that slight nip in the evenings.

In a few weeks, you can come for a walk. A walk that takes you through the forests and villages of Sh*tlakhet. Over hills and valleys, over great food and the beautiful Kumaoni lifestyle. Over spending time alone and spending time learning about the forest and the people living with it.

Let life be a bit different. Let Thursdays not be spent looking forward to the weekend sitting in a cubicle under the lights while working on the quarterly numbers.

Work on the fields instead. Squat for a change. Run with your dog for a change. Think of the day and not the quarter. Take a break. No one will tell you that you deserve it. So take it for yourself.

The forests around Sh*tlakhet are truly enchanting. The different paths lead you to different worlds.

One world has a grassland. Another has a temple between two rocks. A third has pools at different levels.

An entire day can be spent getting lost in this forest.
