About the Founder – Mr. Kodakkal Shivaprasad
Mr. Kodakkal Shivaprasad hails from a remote village in Coastal Karnataka. He has been hearing impaired since childhood. He married a woman who is a polio survivor and wheelchair user. Later, they migrated to Shivamogga city, Karnataka. Despite his own disability and limited resources, Mr. Shivaprasad worked hard to fulfil his wife’s aspirations for a dignified and self-reliant life—such as owning a house, a specially adapted vehicle, and securing a good future for their children. Being a person with hearing impairment himself, he has dedicated his life to serving persons with disabilities. He actively supports them by:
-> Counselling.
-> Legal guidance and litigation support.
-> Resolving grievances through amicable settlements. Advocacy, Writing, and Recognition
Mr. Shivaprasad has written hundreds of articles on disability development and empowerment. These articles have been published in various media platforms and have helped bring disability-related development projects into real implementation by concerned authorities. His work and activities are documented on his personal blog for reference and verification:

Despite his disability, Mr. Shivaprasad served in various departments under the Government of India and retired as an Officer from Canara Bank, a nationalized bank. In recognition of his service, he was honored with the “Rising Personality of India” Award by International Penguins Publishing House, New Delhi.
