A two-day workshop for newly enrolled Scouts and Guides was organized on 12–13 February at DAV Duttnagar, Shimla by the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Himachal Pradesh State Headquarters, on the request of school management.

During the workshop, two Rovers and two Rangers from Rampur College Unit interacted with the new Scouts and Guides and provided information about scouting, ensuring the proper and effective conduct of scouting activities in the school during the new academic session.

भारत स्काउट्स एवं गाइड्स हिमाचल प्रदेश के राज्य मुख्य आयुक्त व उच्च शिक्षा निदेशक हिमाचल प्रदेश डॉ. अमरजीत कुमार शर्मा को स्काउटिंग आंदोलन में उत्कृष्ट सेवाओं के लिए संस्था की ओर से देश का सर्वोच्च सम्मान ‘सिल्वर एलीफेंट अवार्ड’ प्रदान किया गया। यह सम्मान आज 26 नवंबर को महामहिम राज्यपाल आनंदी बेन पटेल द्वारा राजभवन, लखनऊ, उत्तर प्रदेश में प्रदान किया गया।

डॉ. शर्मा के नेतृत्व में प्रदेश में स्काउटिंग गतिविधियों के विस्तार, प्रशिक्षण उन्नयन और युवा विकास को नई दिशा मिली है।

इस उपलब्धि पर हिमाचल प्रदेश का सम्पूर्ण स्काउट-गाइड परिवार गौरवान्वित है।

🌿 Scouting Awareness Session at New Gurukul Public School, Gopal Nagar, Hamirpur 🌿

A lively and interactive Scouting & Guiding Awareness Session was conducted today, 1st November 2025, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. A total of 70 students (42 Scouts, 28 Guides) and 2 teachers participated enthusiastically.

Students learned about “What is Scouting” and the Scout–Guide Uniform through engaging activities, action songs, yells, and claps — making the session fun and memorable!

This initiative, taken by The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Himachal Pradesh State Headquarters, aims to strengthen Scouting and Guiding at the unit level.
Special thanks to Rovers and Rangers from GDC Hamirpur for their active support and interaction with the students. 💫

Activity 2nd

Scouting Session at DAV Solan.

Under the initiatives of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Himachal Pradesh, a vibrant session was conducted with 33 Scouts and Guides by Rover Adarsh Verma and Rover Gokul Sharma.

The programme began with a quick recap of the previous discussion in which scouts guides presented their charts and some shared their views on "why should we do scouting?" This was followed by an energetic action song and an engaging talk on Scout & Guide uniform.

Scouts and Guides were assigned homework to explore skills offered through Scouting and to form patrols and select their Patrol Leaders and Second Patrol Leaders with the help of their Scout Master and Guide Captain for upcoming sessions on the Patrol System.

The session concluded with another lively song and some special claps.

State Level Rover Nipun Testing Camp 2025

Under the dynamic Scouting initiatives of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Himachal Pradesh State Headquarters, a State Level Rover Nipun Testing Camp was successfully organized from 9th to 13th October 2025 at the State Training Centre, Rewalsar, District Mandi (H.P.).

A total of 231 Rovers and 10 Rover Scout Leaders representing 39 Colleges and 2 Universities participated enthusiastically in this five-day camp filled with discipline, teamwork, and the true Spirit of Scouting.

The camp provided a platform for young Rovers to enhance their Scouting skills, leadership qualities, and commitment towards community service.

🌄✨ Expanding the Spirit of Scouting in the Valley! ✨🌄

Under the Scouting Initiatives of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Himachal Pradesh State Headquarters, a vibrant programme — State Level Orientation Camp for Cubs, Bulbuls, Scouts, Guides, and Adult Leaders of Kaza Block — was organized at Kaza, Lahaul & Spiti.

A total of 29 Scouts, 34 Guides, 104 Cubs and Bulbuls, along with 40 Unit Leaders, 8 Staff Members, and 2 Service Team Members actively participated in the Pravesh Ceremony.

An Awareness Rally on Drug Abuse Prevention was also held, which was flagged off by Smt. Shikha Simtia, SDM Kaza.

Together, we continue to spread the message of Discipline, Service, and a Better Tomorrow through Scouting and Guiding. 💙🤝

✨देवभूमि कुल्लू के ऐतिहासिक दशहरा उत्सव का गौरवशाली क्षण✨

विश्व प्रसिद्ध कुल्लू दशहरा उत्सव के समापन दिवस पर राजकीय महाविद्यालय कुल्लू की रोवर और रेंजर इकाई को टिक्का दानवेंद्र जी द्वारा आशीर्वाद एवं सम्मान प्राप्त हुआ। उन्होंने प्रत्येक स्काउट को उनकी भगवान रघुनाथ जी के प्रति निस्वार्थ सेवा के लिए सम्मान स्वरूप पारंपरिक “पग” भेंट की।

पिछले नौ दिनों तक महाविद्यालय के रोवर्स और रेंजर्स ने समर्पण, अनुशासन और सेवाभाव के साथ कार्य किया, जिसकी सभी ने भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा की।

इस अवसर पर रोवर स्काउट लीडर द्वारा युवाओं को इस सेवाभावपूर्ण कार्य के लिए प्रेरित किया गया तथा ऐसे अवसरों पर सेवा के लिए रोवर और रेंजर इकाई को आगे बढ़ाने की पहल की गई।

यह क्षण भारत स्काउट्स और गाइड्स परिवार के लिए अत्यंत गौरवपूर्ण और प्रेरणादायक रहा, जो “सेवा ही सर्वोत्तम धर्म है” की भावना को साकार करता है।

Commendable Service by the Rovers and Rangers Unit of Govt. College Kullu

Rovers and Rangers Unit of Government College Kullu, in the true spirit of the Scout Promise — “Duty to God” — has been rendering remarkable voluntary service for the International Kullu Dussehra Festival over the past two days. This dedicated service shall continue throughout the seven days of the festival.

At the temporary camp of Lord Raghunath Ji at Dhalpur, the members of the unit are actively engaged in cleanliness drives, pavilion management, and other essential support tasks. Marking a historic moment, the unit, under the leadership of Ranger Palak, for the first time took part in the grand parade of Lord Raghunath Ji from Sultanpur to Dhalpur, showcasing exemplary discipline and devotion.

Rover Scout Leader Prof. Jyoti Charan and Ranger Scout Leader Prof. Monica Negi expressed their pride, terming this participation as a moment of great honour for the college. They highlighted that involvement in such a historic and spiritual parade not only inspires the students but also reflects the institution’s commitment to service, discipline, and cultural heritage.

The unit has further resolved to continue its services every day, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, at the holy camp of Lord Ram Ji during the entire Dussehra, with a spirit rooted in duty, service, and devotion.

This initiative stands as a shining example of how The Bharat Scouts and Guides Himachal Pradesh nurtures the values of commitment, community service, and cultural responsibility among youth, while upholding the timeless principles of Scouting and Guiding.
